Correct. I should have known you would know that.

You see me only when it's bright
And also a little bit of wet.
The time must just be right
For this to be in your sight.
With quite a colorful platter,
This thing is not made of matter.

what am I?

(I made that up all by myself. )

Ah, yes... this is a famous kind of riddle, I know how to solve it.

Red suit: White hat.
Blue suit: Red hat.
White suit: Blue hat.

Three men walked into a bar, each wearing either a red, white, or blue suit, and each wearing a red, white or blue hat. they all had different colors.

"Hey, did you know that we're not wearing matching hats and suits?", said the man in the red suit.
"Really? So?" said the man in the blue hat.

What were the pairs of hats and suits?

Ah! Separate SCORES! (For those of you not music-savvy, a "score" is what you call the little bars on a piece of music, or it's also known to mean the entire piece of music altogether.)

Dang... too bad I didn't get that.

Nope.

Answer:

They were playing music

Right, I forgot about the fact that "gold" could potentially mean "first place".

They played to try and get "gold", first place, and there were earnable prizes for first, second, third, and fourth?

Otherwise, I pretty much give up, yeah.

Four men sat down to play.
They played all night till break of day.
They played for gold and not for fun,
With seperate scores for everyone.
When they came to square accounts
They all made quite fair amounts.
Can you this paradox explain?
If no one lost, how could all gain?

(Re-posted so I can think about it more)

Well, if it's not gambling, they all earned "gold", and it's not video-gaming, then... can I ask you a question? Were they all playing the same game, at the same time, at the same place? Or is it that they were all playing different games, at different times, and/or in different places?

The questions are supposed to be for MikeOShay, and he already answered it.

Let's see, there's always the classic rhyming puzzle:

As I was going to St. Ives,
I met a man with seven wives.
Each wife had seven sacks,
Each sack had seven cats,
Each cat had seven kits.
Kits, cats, sacks, and wives,
How many were going to St. Ives?

Has any one answered this yet?
This is my answer: 1 person!

No gambling, eh? Well, maybe they were playing... um... isn't the money in Final Fantasy "gold"? Or am I thinking of something else?
