I think that the biggest Loach you can catch is 30 pounds... I just caught it yesterday it was 28 pounds. I used the sinking lure. Remember the fake rumors that when you catch the loach a bigger pond opens up? That was funny.  |

Caught it, easy. Quite a few times. Caught a 28 pounder so far, Gave up working on raising the limit. I've netted the hat a few times, it makes very good bait for the big fish.
Fun Fact: I almost always find the sinking lure on the logs. |

Actually, taking the fishing rod outside is one of the major ways to cause the "swordless Link" glitch to occur. It only hangs if you actually, you know, try to fish where you shouldn't be fishing. |

I suppose it IS a bit more exciting than the fishing in the original Harvest Moon, anyway. That was dull. But if you got lucky and hooked a fish, that was good money. |

Odd, last I remember, even if you do talk about the sinking lure with the Fisherman, it'll still be illegal to use. And you don't necessarily need the sinking lure to catch the loach. I caught it without it. The loach sometimes pops up for air or something, that's when you can lure it over.
And forget the Fisherman's hat. Real men take the Fishing Rod outside. |

You can talk to the manager with the sink lure, ask him "let's talk about something". He says something, and if I recall correctly, he allows the sink lure. But you have to do it before you catch a fish with it. |

If you DO catch the Hylian Loach, doesn't the fact that you used the Sinking Lure to catch it negate it for quality control in the Fishing Operator's judgement? |

I also catched the loach, and I also used the sinking lure. I think it actually get's up to surface sometimes or something so it might be possible to catch it with the regular lure.
