I haven't been here in over a week.
Well, anyway, good luck on this hack. There are so many things I can't wait to see how you make them... (did that make sense?), like the 'World 2-3' stage,,, with the Sub, |

Originally posted by icegoom Yeah. That or try a flying yoshi and change him somehow. Originally posted by icegoom Same here. Link2006 mentioned that he was going to work on that. I wouldn't know where to start with doing that, but hopefully he gets it working. That should make more of the SML feel to it. |

Regarding the sky level, maybe you could do it as a forced scrolling underwater level and just change the graphics to look like sky. You could maybe change the various fish and torpedo teds into flying enemies. If you could somehow change Mario's properties so that he always swam like he was holding an item, that might be somewhat close to the plane's motion. I don't know if you could rig up any way to be able to constantly fire straight ahead or not.
Just a thought on the Koopas: Instead of leaving a shell behind when you stomp them in Super Mario Land, don't they leave an exploding bomb instead? Maybe you could change it so that instead of leaving a shell behind, a Koopa left a stomped Bob-Omb instead. (With different graphics, of course) |

I am thinking of some enemies in SML and how I will include them in the hack. The Pionpi or the chinese vampire. I need a enemy that can hop in this fashion. Or can I use ASM to make lets say Dry Bones to jump like one?
Also, what about the flying zone? |

Bad enough that you used Crapidshare, but...

The Ultimate koopa: Speed normally depends more on the server than anything else when you have that kind of connection. Your mom's just downloading from a faster server, that's all. |

Basically I am improving the graphics some more.
I have changed the pakkun flower to match the artwork for the game rather than the one in the game. I am still working on some bugs with the graphics. So this isn't the final version of the pakkun. This will decrease some issues such as the beanstock. If anyone knows how to change the bottom part to green, that would be awesome. |

I had no problem whatsoever with downloading this.
So here's the file. EDIT: Too big WTF? Hangon... EDIT2: THERE WE GO |

I was downloading as slow as 32 KB/sec (256 kbps), but it shot up to about 140 KB/sec (1.12 Mbps). My mum also has broadband. Her connection speed is only 2.2 Mbps, but she can download at almost twice the speed as me (almost 250 Mbps). Sometimes, though, when I download, the transfer rate starts VERY high (3 MB/sec), but goes down, with large drops (about -50 KB/sec^2), but then the deceleration decreases, and then it goes to 136 KB/sec, and then it might just hover between that and 140-something KB/sec. I don't really understand much about the 'differences' (if any) between connection speeds, and upload/download speeds, but I'd have though that if the connection speed is 1.25 Megabytes per second (or 10 Megabits per second), then so should the dl/ul speeds. So, can someone briefly say why I'm downloading at only 140 KB/sec with a 10 Mbps, when someone else downloads at 250 KB/sce with only a 2.2 Mbps, and whether I should be downloading at 1.25 MB/sec? Back on-topic: @Sgraff87 - I can't wait to see your next demo. And, also, when I asked you to send me an e-mail with the patch as an attachment, you replied and said: "I tries and got a failure. Sorry. Maybe you can ask someone else?" Did you type in the e-mail address correctly? Just encase you didn't it's theultimatekoopa@myway.com (sorry for that "lecture" about download/upload speed junk). |

Just as a update, I am back to working on SML. |

Heh... I assume that was a sarcasm, 10mbps is more than fast enough... why it wasn't working I have no idea, but I suppose I should just be the nice one attach it to this post |

Is 10 Mbps too slow (1.25 MB/sec)? |

I think the problem the guy might be having is that his internet's too slow and the download's timing out. Here's what you could do: Go to another computer that lets you save to the harddrive, then save it to a disk, and bring it to your own computer and play it. It should hopefully work, then. |
