JDavis: We're always getting closer to the next emerald as long as we keep heading in that general direction. And while you were busy wandering off on your own we were warned by a native that there's trouble to be had down that tunnel... And we were also politely asked not to break anything.

Elsewhere...

Draco: Yes, he was. ... I'm starting to wish we went down the other path... This one's pretty boring.

Something suddenly patted Teddylot on the soulder.

Bel: Harrumph! Sorry if I scared you. You weren´t thinking of leaving me, were ya? Bel gave Teddylot a nasty glance.

Teddylot: Now, that I have inconspicuously disposed of the dead weight, we may now make our way TO ADVENTURE!!!

Zap: Took you long enough. Let's get going before they wake up.

Teddylot: Oh ... don't worry about that, buddy-boy. *sly* I burried them pretty deep.

The two started down the open path, but Teddylot became unusually antsy.

Zap: I'm pretty sure I was the only witness to these ... umm, unfortunate events, Teddylot. You needn't worry.

Teddylot: You mean you saw? *mutters* I must dispose of this liability.

Zap: You can't get rid of me that easily, bear.

Teddylot: Then we shall duel ... on the battle field of--

Zap: Bupbupbupbupbupbupbupbupbupbup ... let's not.

Sky: Then be sure to tell me if we're heading closer to or farther from an emerald. As for the machinery, getting sucked in may be fine if we can get out before anything slices/dices/boils/poisons us. And if not, we can try to break free of the pipe.

JDavis: My only point is that we're likely to be sucked INTO whatever machinery is sucking in the water. And I'm too busy being the guy with the tricorder which can track the emeralds.

Sky: Note that I'm not actually moving the lips. I'm actually imprinting these words directly into your auditory system via my unfortunately rather limited psychic powers. It only really works at short distances. And if all here are set to go, let's go...and probably the best way is towards the humming of machinery. But if you can lead better, please, feel free.

JDavis: How in the- *looks at the hole through which Sky had been sucked earlier* But you- *looks back at Sky* And how- *shakes head* My only problem with you is your ego and your tendancy to act before you think. To that end I must point out that everyone besides you, me, and Grey went in the other direction, over the building, realizing that going into a murky underwater path where water is clearly being sucked into who knows where, especially when we can hear the humming of machinery... And for that matter, I don't remember you being able to talk underwater.

Sky: I am and have always been first and foremost a man of action. I say we gather together all those who will move and go forward. Forget those in OTs, even; they can catch up later.

Sky smacks JDavis

Sky: You're half the problem here. If you have a problem, don't ruminate on it with yourself. We're too busy to bicker, let's go. We'll deal with these issues later.

Grey: "Can we just kinda ditch anyone who doesn't immediately follow after us? Seems like spending all of our time dicking around has gotten us almost killed by a punk rock alligator detective, while the overly powerful seemingly-apparent leader of this whole operation forges on ahead and leaves us in his dust."

He figured for a few seconds and exhaled. The excess air in his bubble swizzled out onto the surface of the water, and Grey himself continued to speak in his muffled tone.

"If you don't like this guy, I'm guessing you have a darn good reason for it, but right now, we need all the help we can get."

Off: I don´t think its a failure. I guess people have been busy during christmas, including me.

Bel nodded.

Bel: Let´s get going then. I hope the others will find their way to us.

Popodey: *shakes head* Oh no you don't! *wipes melted bar off his horns* I came here to be helpful by explaining the way things work to those foreigners your fan club invited. I do one thing that could be considered good and look where I end up. No, you're not ditching me that easily.

Same Bat-Time, different Bat-Channel...

JDavis: Adios! *turns to Grey* Alright, we have a decision ahead of us.

JDavis put one hand in front of him, palm side up.

JDavis: On one hand, Sky isn't my favorite person, nor is he anybody else's (except maybe his own).

He then did the same with his other hand.

JDavis: On the other hand, he is (overly) powerful, and could be handy to have fighting Dani.

JDavis proceeded to move his hands up and down at different rates, as if comparing the weights of two objects.

JDavis: This is a tough one...

Kirbynite: Yeah, basically.

Moments after Popodey approached the bars, Kirbynite was treated to a short, dazzling display of electrical sparks and lights. Several bars in both of the cells melted, with a strange black gunk oozing from the bar openings.

Kirbynite: Well, glad you did it. Be seeing you, or something.

-------------------------

Vector: Ah, you know. Guard this, look after that. Typical guardian stuff, y'know?

Vector looked away for a moment.

Vector: *thinking* ~Crud, Espio's gonna kill me for bumping into them.~ Hey.. uh.. Try not to move too many things outta the way, alright? If you brake a door handle, glue it back in place, see? I've.. got somethin' to be doin'. So becareful on your way out. Oh, and I think whoever went down here before you guys might be in for some trouble.

Vector swam off in some direction, waving a lengthy arm. JDavis and Grey were now left with the tiny schools of mechanical fish, and the path Sky went through.

JDavis: Well... That's a bit of a long story. To make a shortened version: Our friend who lives on this island was attacked and captured by another of our friends who used to be our enemy and I guess is again who lives on another floating island which at one point crashed into and got stuck to this floating island. The enemy/friend has a shield around her island which is being powered by the Master Emerald and we need to find the Chaos Emeralds to get past it. We already found one, and came down into this cavern to get the next, but our group got split when we came to a fork in the path. I guess that about sumarizes things. How 'bout you?

----------

Meanwhile...

Popodey: Fine. Let's just get this over with. Just stick my horns to the bars, or what?

Kirbynite: Well, fine. You can stay there then. I'll just come up with another way of getting out, one that involves leaving you in there.

----------------------

The crocodile stopped spinning. Infact, he stopped moving in general. Without him moving around so fast, several more of his features were apparant. He wore large sneakers, large white gloves, and wicked set of headphones.

Crocodile: You've got something there, kid. You're no bad guy if you can spin like that and push me back! And you can talk underwater!

The crocodile swam towards JDavis, and held out one of his long arms with an outstretched hand.

Crocodile: Name's Vector. What're you doin' all the way down here?

JDavis: Oh no he didn'!

JDavis proceded to Acro Circus toward the crocodile, which would normally be a difficult thing to do underwater, but the form he was in allowed JDavis to do it with ease. Upon coliding, the complimentary spins of the attacks caused JDavis and the croc to simply spin in place and a continually growing speed. Finally, JDavis pushed off from the crocodile, causing them to move away from each other.

JDavis: You may not be as large of a croc as Leatherhead, but you've certainly got more style.

----------

Meanwhile...

Popodey: Fine, fine, but if I get shocked, you're gonna pay. *walks over to the bars*

----------

You'd think I'd get tired of typing "Meanwhile..."

Jack: Welll?

The crocodile twisted its body around, and curled up in a ball. It seemed like it was trying to do an acro circus of a sort and spin vertically towards JDavis.

--------------------

Kirbynite: Oh right. I keep forgetting you didn't take part in PopStar education.. Um.. Just bring your horns over here. It'll shortcircuit the bars and provide an escape.

Noticing the change in direction, JDavis raised his arm, creating a blue energy barrier around him.

Popodey: ... And in English? I don't speak technobable.

Kirbynite knocked off the soot he got from being electrocuted earlier. He walked around the cell, looking around for what'd be the next method of breaking out.

Kirbynite: We're separated by bars... so it's not the same cell.. but I know what you mean. *shrugs* It's something I'm used to by now, really. And I was never good at sneaking around in Dani's territory. Bust out, yes. But I'm not aiming to knock some heads around.

The red capped Dreamlander turns and faces the blocky wall. Obviously it was made of a tough material.

Kirbynite: From what I can gather, Dani might be flipping out over the fact that Schala's.. not around. I'm not sure if I'm right or not.. Before I lost the psychic ability I had stored up in my backpack, I tried to contact Mewtwo, but couldn't. She's got this entire island in a mental lockdown or something.

Kirbynite looked at Popodey.

Kirbynite: .... I think I can use your horns to throw off the gravitons that're gravitic warping the electricity into the bars.

---------------------

The green blur in the water charged towards JDavis. Instead of using its set of teeth, it aimed to give JD an underwater uppercut into Grey.

Bel: Hmm. I have a weird feeling that they´ll have problems in the water.

Oh, I think I forgot something. Bel snapped with his fingers and the water shield disappeared.

Bel: NOW, we can go. Btw, what do you guys think we´ll encounter next?
