Seriously, if google did that I would delete this post to make it seem like they thought of it first.

Those were on the moon though. What they need to do is photoshop some "alien writing" in the ground into it.

How cool would it be if Mars was really coloured like it is in the elevation map?

I think we can rest assure than stupid people will say stupid things no matter what.

I anxiously await though for Google Hell. (And maybe Google heaven)

Posts: 1068/2607		 All we WERE is a large tub of iron. There ARE man-made things you can see from space (NOT just the Great Wall, as has been claimed), and the oceans and clouds make Earth more interesting to see. Lack of atmosphere and water really hurts Mars in that sense.

Well, compared to the Earth, mars IS pretty small. I think they put it shaded by altitude partially to make it more interesting to look at.

Too bad most of the time they don't bother spending the extra money to take pictures in color, instead sending lame black and white pictures back here. Or it could be that a lot of the pictures are quite a few years old, too.

This is... mildly amusing. And it's rather cool to be able to see all the landing sites and whatnot.
