The first season was pretty good, but eh second season kinda sucked. got way too slow and political for my taste. Need more fuchikoma action I say.

I try to watch it whenever I can... I cannot afford to throw my budget off to buy all the dvds. I remember Motoko getting shot in the head on the last episode of Gig1. I don't know how the hell she came back for Gig2 I haven't seen the first episodes.
If you can, watch the movie. Not innocence but the first one before SAC. The animation and art is excellent! You'll get a better grip for the story too. I believe it was the beginning of the GITS series. There was also an episode where Major revisited her childhood. I'm assuming she was the little girl on the airplane that crashed. She was one of the first people to get a full-body prosthetic and her old child body was in some mysterious antique store. |

I was into it for a while, but then the general taste of the show put me off. It's a sad little metropolis filled with a bunch of losers, and the Major is an invincible, cold archetype of a character with little growth or interesting qualities and conflicts. Batou is somewhat interesting, though. But really, the show is like one giant depressive trip. I guess someone had to make a vision of the future like that so that humanity can know what to avoid. |

I actually hadn't heard of Samurai Champloo until SBS decided to air it. The themes a bit wierd (Hip-hop ancient Japan), but the fight scenes are well done and the characters are cool. |

I love GITS. Stand Alone Complex was a good series to watch, with good animation, plotlines and action scenes. Samurai Champloo is now on in its timeslot though. |

I watched Innocence a while ago, and after I watched it I was more confused when I started.
It was decent, in a mind-screwing sort of way. I need to get around to watching Standalone Complex, I've got like 4 episodes sitting on my HD. |

I really liked this series. I've seen all of the first and second seasons, along with both of the movies. (I've even made an AMV for it, and I'm currently working on my second one right now).
Although it's not the type of anime that I can watch when I'm tired, or have it playing in the background. Out of all of them though, I liked Innocence the best (which is a sequel to the first movie) because it was the most...poetic in a way. Well, that and absolutely gorgeous. Me and Sean went to go see it when it was in theaters, and it's by far the most beautiful anime I've ever seen. |

I watched it on Adult Swim, I didn't have that option. It still isn't an excuse for reminding people constantly that it relates to the "Laughing Man" somehow.

I think they're incredibly boring, ugh. There are some good, interesting episodes though. They refer back to the same thing to much though, like they can somehow apply absolutely everything to the "Laughing Man". |

Well, having seen the first movie, the events of Standalone Complex HAVE to exist in a different universe. The date of the series is set later than that of the movie; yet if the events of the movie occurred in the SAC universe, the Major wouldn't be... the Major... |

Since I don't know much about the series, except from things I've gotten from the few episodes I've watched, I didn't know the movie(s) wasn't related to the series.. which kind of makes sense now. I just thought that the movie was first then after a few years I guess they continued with Standalone Complex and the characters careers moved to more indepth things.
I'm interested in seeing the new movie, Innocence. The blurb sounds really good. I love the voice acting for the Tachikoma  and them mini episodes are so fun to watch. |
