A new Mario RPG hack wouldn't be impossible to create. It would just take dedication and time from one person to an extent to make it near-impossible.

Two I'd love to see:

A full-fledged Super Mario RPG hack. New areas, new characters, perhaps a storyline simmilar to Paper Mario... Impossible at this time, but one can dream, right?

I'd also love to see a Startropics 3 made from the Startropics 2 ROM. Those games were awesome...

Actually, it could be based on any 16-bit fighter game engine. I don't know how you'd handle transformations, though. The sprites would be changed to some of the main cast of TF: C. You could play as Optimus Prime, Landmine, Jetfire, or Hot Shot (for Autobots), and Megatron, Starscream, Thundercracker, and Crumplezone (Decepticons)

Anything but that would generally be awsome to see in my opinion. =P

A LoZ:LTTP hack that includes new items. That would be awsome (and would most likely require some extensive ASM work).

I actually had this idea when SMILE was first announced, Vagla said it was impossible due to a lack of rooms or something, once SMILE was released I never even tried it... Hmm, could be something to work on when I'm done a few of my other projects.

It was actually pretty cool since it made creative use of jagged scrolling(jagged scrolling is when a room is not totally horizonal, vertical, or multi scrolling, but combines all 3, not easy to do in Blaster Master).

That IS a cool idea! Considering that many of the creatures in that game act like and were obviously inspired by many of the ones from Metroid. One of the first things you see in the game are Waver-like creatures, and more wall crawlers than you can shake a stick at. There are even Metroids that suck your energy in some of the water levels. That game is so Metroid-like it isn't funny. Do I feel my next project coming on?...

Something like that would make an interesting sequel, or even prequel, to Metroid Begins.

As for Zero in X3, I had a PAR code a long time back that would turn X into Zero, it sucks because Zero's saber is overpowered, you'd have to nerf the saber to make it into a fun hack. The code had a side effect of allowing Zero to use weapons, which was cool.

7E0A8E02 was the code in question, if my memory serves me correctly. You have to switch to Zero while X has a special weapon open if you want to be able to use it as Zero, then would have to switch back to X (7E0A8E00) if you want to change weapons. When you use Zero with the special weapons, his colors become wacky (most notably his skin).

A Solomon's key hack (there's an editor out there that was being developed, can't remember what happened to it.) A Rygar hack, Bionic Commando hack along with a Blaster Master hack.

Castlevania 3 hacked into Dracula X: Chi No Rondo

I was planning on doing this with CV1 but I decided to wait until the room order was figured out. I think Dan has the data but I don't have the motivation to actually do it.

I'd like to see a hack that turns a one-player game into a two-player game. Preferably a SMB hack where Mario and Luigi act simultaniously like in Chip & Dale (Hi, DahrkDaiz). Having two Kit's in Kid Icarus would be cool too.

I'd also like to see a NES hack that uses a level generation engine to randomly create levels kinda like the first Diablo did. I think Kid Icarus would be a top candidate for this one.
This is a long thread. Click here to view it.
