Do you NEED a reason to do anything? PocketNES rocks even through a GBA emulator.

@insectduel: You don't need DLLs to run it on a emulator, and if you need an utillity to sort your roms, search for goodNES. Else test your PocketNES with No$GMB or VBA, or just run it on the real thing (GBA).

It's because your computer is different than mine. I have Windows 98. But thank you for that tip. I really think that this might work.

Of course my Comp is different, but who says I don't have Windows 98? I worked with Win98 for the last 6 years. And you may install the newest DirectX version. 9 or something.

if you get strange errors from the renamer tools you are probably missing this (zlib.dll) file

Simple. If one has a flashcard (Which are really common for the GBA), one can play NES games on an actual GBA.

And I have to admit, it's fun playing Super Mario Bros. on the bus.

He did say "GBA emulator". But he may have had the intention of simply testing it before using it or perhaps even purchasing a flash card, on the real GBA.

And yes, PocketNES is awesome.

Common sense states that if he doesn't know what PocketNES is he probably doesn't know how to use it on the GBA. It sounds to me like he wants to use it with a GBA emulator exclusively, which simply makes no sense what-so-ever. Testing it on the emulator is a good idea, however.

I frequently use Visualboayadvance to test out and debug pocketnes when I'm working on it. But mostly I run it on my GBA.

Visual Boy Advance if you want to run it in an emulator. Be warned, however, that when it's set to scale things, a GBA emulator will make it look 100x worse than it would on a real GBA.

I'm talking about how to make it work on a emulator. I know what it is and I have all of these utilities. Plus it requires some .dll files which i'm not concerned right now. However that utility is pretty cool when it scans for ROMS with bad dumps.

Google is your friend.

Anyway, it's a NES emulator for the Game Boy Advance. Visit http://www.pocketnes.org for more info.
