It'd be a problem if you outgrew those shoes. XD

That comment, my friend, was priceless!

Do you all remember back in the 80s when people would walk around carrying a 900-pound radio on their shoulder be-bopping down the street like they were the baddest of the bad? The people who I personally thought looked retarded even back then? Those shoes are the next generation "ghetto-blasters". I can hear yesterday's kids talking to their grandkids right now. "Back in my day, sonny, we didn't even have shoes that played music. We actually had to carry the big radio with us if we wanted to irritate other people around us. You kids don't know how good you got it!"

Shoes are expensive as it is. This is nothing but a good excuse to tack on another 200 dollars to the price just so they can break the minute my little future 12-year-old wannabe rocker son or daughter steps in dogshit. Thanks, but no thanks...

Sounds like that belt would make you able to fly. If so, I´d DEFINITELY want one.

Too bad they don´t exist.

Now that was awesome.

Aw man. I really want one of those things.

It would make skating so much easier and I could probably pull off a ollie.

Plus it makes a cool sound while moving.

I am anxiously waiting for telephone shoes.

That or hover shoes.

Because to hover is the way of the future.

You land walkers would never understand.

Wow. What. An. Idiot.

I wonder if the police were cracking up at him.

I used to have those shoes when I was a wee child, but one died too quickly, thus making it look retarded with only one flashing shoe, and then I wouldn't wear them anymore.

It sure as hell doesn´t look comfortable. Besides, wouldn´t buy it even if it was.

I know there are shoes which can charge your cellphone battery, though.

Personally I'm just waiting to see a shoe with a built-in cell phone.

Sky and GGS pretty much summed up what I was going to say. It'd be far too likely to be damaged to be usable. Besides, I don't see any point to making this. Sure, it's an interesting concept, but it just isn't practical. There are many things that do what this shoe does - and more. What's the point?

I wanna see a kid electrocute himself one rainy day and his parents sue the company for faulty merchandise. Although I wouldn't be surprised, I'd be having a good laugh.

Of course it's not needed. But then, how much of this kind of technology really is?

My main issue with something like this is that it just seems far too likely to get damaged. I mean, come on, who can tell me they have a pair of (non-dressy) shoes they've worn for a while and haven't gotten them soaked or at least hit them *hard* against a lot of things?

Yet another way for people to get away with MP3 players at school.

"What are you going to do? Take my only pair of shoes!?"

...why is this needed? WHY!?
