You can check out a demo on SMW Central. Be warned that there's a glitch in Peaceful Plains 2. I was going for a warp pipe near the goal post leading to a room with a key and a keyhole for unlocking the Plains Secret Area. It backfired, so avoid going down the yellow pipe near the goal post.

Hope I got it this time

Here's how to make an IPS. First, select the ROM of the original game. Then, select the ROM of your hack. Finally, tell Lunar IPS what to name the file. It's as easy as that.

I don't know how else to post a demo without posting the ROM itself. I'm better at applying ips patches than creating them. I'll see if I can get it hosted on emucation.com.

Well, common sense tells us that an 8 byte file isn't going to do much.

The screenshots are great! I wasn't very good w/ editing graphics when I started editing SMW. But by the look of things, it looks great. Keep up the good work!

Here's a screenie from Marble Mountain 4. This is a level I totally revamped from its original form. The vines lead to a section with some coins and a mushroom. They're used to return to the main part of the level.

The marsh water is actually brown. Some of the color data got lost in the file conversion.

Yeah, but he's only using SMW's standard GFX (for a reason). As I implied before, it's quite original in these days, and it doesn't look half-bad either. He shouldn't use the normal water for the marsh, not only because it looks too spiky, but also because marsh mud doesn't flow.

yep, now I see it. it's ugly, though.

I think it's water...or a marsh

Finally someone who tries also to create some new BGs out of just original GFX. Good work, I like that!

You should change the brick graphics so they are square. Other than that, I see no problems, given the limited amount of GFX you are choosing to use.

By the way, in before everyone starts bitching about how you're not using ExGFX.

Getting new GFX is better, but it's not always about that; if you can design very good than you'll be alright; the name of your hack alone caught my attention; you can do it!

Don't scrap the hack. It sounds interesting. You don't have to be a programmer to have a good hack (it makes the hack spiffier, but there are still OMGAWESOME hacks without programming)

But I have to agree with the others: screenies would be a must.

We can't read very well. We all need visuals. Please consider posting screenshots before you give up and turn yellow like a dog.
