I think you sould fix marios walking animation. He looks like He's going to do something spiffy off of rotmk4, but obviosly isn't. Any chance you can fix it up so his body faces to the right/left and not you?

The rules, Racoon Sam, do you not understand? -.-;;;;; Blahblahblah. To add something to this, I think the hack shows promise, however in its current state, I do not think the Mario sprite goes will with everything else, even though it is super good! I bet when you change other things it will fit in better. Cool work I might start playing SMW hacks again.

Actually in the newer version, all the problems that you guys listed are already fixed.

The hole was there for testing something and is gone(so is thathorrible green color), the edges were fixed ( i was just lazy at the time ), the small palette/graphics problem with Mario and Luigi has been fixed.(along with that hand thing). Thanks for the pointout of the coin, didn't notice it. RO = Ragnarok Online. And the Disco Ball is being worked on...which brings me to my next question...how the hell did you get there?

Also, the Hat change thing is easy. I just made it use Mario & Luigi's Palette.

I really like that last screenshot. It reminds me of the last couple of levels in SMB3 with all the tanks....for some reason.

One thing though...



Problem with this: the hole in the bottom of the green? The walls looks cut off. I suggest adding some corner/ceiling/wall tiles around it to make it look a bit better.

Other than that, it's spiffy

How did you change the hat to be green with luigi? it's good, but the last I played it, when you ducked as hatless mario, you suddenly have a hat and when you die you have a hat.

The cool boosters are nice.

You seriously need to make more of those parts where the turbo boosts you at those two goombas
But Mario's Hand's outlines disappear when he looks up.
Also, When you're ducking while you don't have the cap, You'll become small Mario.
Also, the coins have one black pixel in one tile always.
And Mario gets a hat when he ducks while hatless.
Also, what's RO?
Fix the Disco-ball in the water level, also.
And there are default Map16 Blocks in the background in the part where you press the "!" switch.

"ONOZ ANOTHER MARIO HACK "

Maybe.....but its a bit diffrent....

The game features only 1 level. Yes, I said one level. It will be a long level but it will be sweet. And, you start with only have 1 life. Yes I said 1 life. You can now gain more with the power of coins. And with the wonder of savestates, you really don't need lives, and if you can beat it without the use of savestates, like your meant to do, then more props to you.

Story:
Right after one of Marios' many random battles with Bowser, he saves Peach (again). Weary and tired from battle (also another reason for the 1 life) Mario and Peach start heading back to the castle when passing by a near-by forest, Peach suddenly dissapears. Mario looks all over for her and finds a castle deep with-in the forest. Mario believes, Peach may have been kidnapped and checks out the castle...but wait....this isn't Bowsers castle...

Anyways, the game is making great progress so far and should be finished by the end of the month. I think I will be picking one more beta tester, so if you wanna test it let me know.

Some new Castle gfx, and a new fireball-shooting Mario gfx. No I'm not done with the castle graphic and there will be more changes.


Mario, does not become small in this hack, instead he becomes hat-less.


But if you find a hat...


You become Super Mario again! Also note the spiffy grass. and the new standing animation.


Also, Luigi gets his own color hat.


Also, this game will feature a co-op mode, where 2 people can play to help get though a level. (Not play at the same time of course, but be able to switch with-in a level.) [OUTDATED PIC]


Fixed the grass and ground as well as a new bg.

Click here to download the demo. The demo is only playable up to the end of the first room in the castle. I know about most of the errors in the demo too and already have been fixed. Like the priority issue at the title screen and the music change problem on it too and a few other things.
So play it, and like it.
