In english, I call it soda. Pop reminds me of a certain type of music, and Coke usually refers to a specific brand of soda.. |

Well, I say soda. I´ve seen it many times on the net and I think it´s an easy word that I can relate to Coke/Fanta/Sprite, etc.
I´ve always used Soda from wat I can remember. |

Soda because the schools call it soda, because we have a Soda Hall at my university, because the signs have the word soda |

I say pop as I've always said it and it just seems odd to say soda. |

It's called SODA, dammit. Pop is just pathetic. |

Ummm... I usually call it by the brand name. Dr. Pepper is too good to be called soda.
But... I call 'em soda otherwise... |

I say Soft drink, blame it on my English teacher calling it that. Also the only soft drink I mention anyway is Coke but still... |

I say Coke, paying homage to my one year in Texas and all. |

POP.
I grew up in Pittsburgh and that's what it's called there. I see no reason to refer to carbonated beverages as anything else (unless I'm ordering a specific type at a restaurant or whatever), mostly for the reasons NSNick stated. It's short and succinct and it just sounds right. |

I use soda in general and Coke if I am referring specifically to a Coca-Cola. |

Colin uses Soft Drink because it's his own personal mission to prove that you can say and type things twice as long and mean the same exact thing. I'll kill you later.
I vote Pop. |

I refer to it simply as Coke or Cola. |
