That seems unlikely. "Nemesis" compression was only used for some in-house Sega games. Treasure probably used their own compression format.

Maybe. Sounds like its worth a shot, and Nemesis DID make a program, but I dont have the materials and stuff to try it.

Nothing. I might look at it again in the future along with some other projects I want to do. This thread can be thrown away now...

But uh....Yea. I do believe alot of it is hardcoded.

I haven't touched the game data wise, but I hear it shares audio formats with some Sonic games, perhaps atleast some of it's formats are shared in other areas, like graphics or perhaps even a somewhat simular level format? Then again, if I remember right the game had alot of segments that look like they could be hardcoded...

Yes Genesis...

Unfortunatly I didnt record where I killed the graphics, because it was test run and all I was doing was corrupting in 1000....uh....I know theres a technical term....Eh. Lets just say it went 1000-2000, 2000-3000....

I didnt think much of it to record it because all I was trying to do was find where the data finnaly started for the title screen. Never found anything execpt for as said, some crashes, and one point kill the text. Yea, I only destroyed the Text graphics not the general graphics...I shoulda been more specific.

I will look again later and see what I can find. If I dont find anything dont plan on me trying out anything else. I was just posting to see if anything was recorded and I could be given a boost in finding things...

Seems fairly obvious to me.

But yeah, I've never played this. It always looked interesting, however.

Wait, which version of GH are you hacking? The GENS or the GBA?

Hey guys.

I'm a newbie, but I've been hacking Gunstar Heroes lately. I've found some things, but there's really one thing that's been bothering me, and that's the graphics. Currently, they're stored in an unknown format. Several things I've found are pallette locations and savestate info. Not much, but for a game that hasn't been really hacked, it's quite a bit.

Oh, and Sonicandtails, did you record the location of where you screwed the graphics up? I'll look into it sometime and let you know.

And uh...Yea. It COULD be against the rules....But maybe not.

Im not trying to be a mod, but I think that kind of thread title is against the rules.

On topic: Which Gunstar Heroes are you speaking of?

Now that I have your attention(I see you BMF), is there any data on this game found yet? I have searched for like, 3 hours and was able to crash the game a few times, and totally hork the graphics...
