The pinball episode was by far my favorite episode of AYAOTD.

Roundhouse/ All That were AWESOME.

Kenan and Kel rocked too...

Thank god Kenan is in Snakes on a Plane.

All the old-school nicktoons kicked ass.... Ren+Stimpy, Kablam!, and Rocko all hold special places in my heart though.

Aah! Real Monsters follows shortly behind though. Now that was a pretty cool show. Not nessecairly as good as the rest...

but i had a figure of ickis and i wanted one of the teacher.

Oh god! The mall! The kid! The pinball! I even remember the last scene being the ball at the top of the escalator! How the hell did I forget that!

Forgive me, Midnight Society!

I have failed you!

Oh! anyone remember the special pirate ghost episode? Or the girl and boy talking through time via the mirror? The latter wasn't really scary, bu it sure was good. Oh, and the camera that hurt the people it took pictures of, and then it got the laser beam attatchment!

Are You Afraid of the Dark talk and no mention of "The Tale of the Pinball Wizard"?

YOU FOR THE LOSE.

Well, I kinda liked that show when I was young. Although it wasn't my favorite, I liked it.

I dunno... I watched it as a kid, and wish there were more shows like that. Comedy is good, but watching too much of it can turn you into a mindless dolt, I think. I thought it was a pretty decent fantasy-esque show and not really depressing at all. As I recall it had some pretty good stories. If anything most children's shows are filled with rampant stupidity these days.

It also had Tom Bosley as the voice of David the Gnome which was win. I remember in later years watching happy days and being like "that's David the Gnome!"

No it was the guy, it's from Belgium. The was show called "The Adventures of Rin Tin Tin", though, and Rin Tin Tin was the dog.

I could never figure it out. Was the guy named Tintin, or was it the dog? I know the guy was the main character, but come on! Tintin? That had to be the dogs name.

Oh, that reminds me, I used to watch the Adventures of Tintin on Nick all the time, I remember one episode, a guy got gunned down in a drive by. That show was great.

Does anyone here remember Denver The Last Dinosaur?
I used to watch it, but now the only things I remember are Denver, and some of the song.

"Oh Denver, the last dinosauuuuuur! He's my friend and a whole lot more!"

I hope they release this on DVD.

Way back then, they had some fairly violent shows on Nick Jr.

Used to watch 'David the Gnome' all the fucking time when I was a little tike. There would always be some sort of poison killing a gnome, or a splinter in the eye of an animal. They showed blood in that show in spite of being a kid's cartoon.

Geez I miss payed TV it's been ages since I watched Doug, it was a great show, but I don't really miss it.

I was so disappointed when they stopped airing Rocko's Modern Life, that was my favourite cartoon. I hate how they scrap all the good cartoons and put on the most stupidest ones just to try something new. And free TV is full of crappy new cartoons too. You can't even buy the cartoons on DVD here

Pete and Pete was a godsend. Most shows like that give only the main characters a disfunction, but in this one, everyone did. Plus, memorable episodes such as the one where Pete faked being sick or the neighbor war really do stick with you. Arnie was always my hero.

Salute Your Shorts had its moments, I'll give it that. Especially the halloween episode. But a lot of that show was just one punch line then we'll act stupid!

The main article in this thread, Doug, really made me laugh. Because a few days ago me and my friends got in this big memory loohow about Doug and how it was better then the Disney's Doug. Honestly, is there one situation that Quailman was in that you can't remember? Dr. Klutzenstine? The mechanical yodeling principal Bone and Klutzilla!

Also, Mr. Dink got +10 points in my book. Very expensive, ahyuk!

The first seasons of All That, with Detective Dan, Goodburger, and the lunch lady. Those pwned*Even Superdude*. So did The Secret Life of Alex Mack, once you ignored the ungodly huge title.

Action League Now! Staring the Flesh! Super strong... and super naked! Thunder Girl! With the ability to fly... like thunder! Stinky Diver, a former navy commander with an attitude as bad as his odor! And Meltman, with the power to... melt!

And then the unmentionables of Nikelodeon:
Animorphs - ruined as soon as the first episode, that one was.
Clarrissa Explains it All - nuff said.
Challenge of the Hidden Temple - the show itself didn' suck, but the kids always went into that one top-floor room in the obstacle course where the aztec was hiding. good show, dumb kids.
Rugrats - no.

I'm also surprised that no mention's been made of Wild and Crazy Kids, Video Game Challenge, or Guts with all it's, like seven different crags.

You know you're getting old when you remember the characters and plot of 90% of the shows mentioned.

I liked pretty much all of it. I've never been too particular with TV shows. I never liked the challenge shows though, like Wild and Crazy Kids or what have you.

I can't say my preference has changed much, save that some cartoons, like Spongebob Squarepants, annoy me for an innumerable number of reasons.

Anyone watched Camp Lazlo? It's made by the same guy who did Rocko's Modern Life and has some of the same voice actors, but it still doesn't quite measure up.

All in all, I guess I kind of do miss Doug. Maybe if it's for no other reason than Saturday afternoons with bowls of cereal and singing along with the theme song.
