To add to what MathOnNapkins suggested, you could have a script that "filters" you out of online.php when you go to this forum. That could prevent people from stumbling upon this place via Online Users. Oh yeah, there could also be a topic that moves from (non-existant) forum to forum, although that would really just be a waste of time and coding. It'd be fun though, even if the board it was on could be located through posted messages.

You know... you could be clever and write (deleted thread) on any user's posts in this forum and have no link to it. i.e. Staff members have (restricted) written next to posts in that forum with no link to it, so this would make people think there's nothing to see. Goes along well with the notion of "lost threads" I think. Would mean less people would spot it by accident, that's for sure. You could also set it up so that unless someone has been in this forum before, they can't see the posts in question.

On the negative side, it could have the potential to backfire and draw attention to those posts. But the majority of most people's posts are not in forums like lost threads. And it doesn't prevent people from directly linking each other to the forum. Another option instead of (deleted thread) could be to omit them from the listings all together unless you've actually been here.

Huzzah, I got invited. I'll try not to divulge this forum's location, even under torture.

OK, maybe under torture.

Let's just say something got borked during the Great SMW Forum Explosion, and a bunch of threads ended up in here. Yay Xkeeper!

But that's okay. It should at least delay the mass spammage.
And that's okay, it shouldn't act as a an exclusive club.. otherwise it'd be lame.

This reminds me of when ||bass made a hidden forum with all of these rules to keep people from finding it without invitation, and outsiders found it quickly anyway. 8D

And now it's disappeared from the forum jump list...

Great, now I have to type in 255 every time I visit this forum.

I should exclude this forum from the Forum Jump bar...

In fact, I'll do that now.

*Xkeeper does

The sub-title should be 'Electric Boogaloo'.
