The only answer you'll hear is GoodNES. Place it in the same directory as your ROMs, then run `goodnes rename' (on the command line). Oh yeah, it requires Windows so either use that OS or Wine (which works fine too) to run it. The known ROMs are put in NESRen, almost all of them are labelled correctly (there's forums on the GoodSite that show that nothing is perfect). Unknown ROMs are left alone in your current directory. |

I was curious if there's any utility that can go through my large amount of games, to give them proper names and find out which are corrupt. I'm no good with the command line. I've got Nintendren which has a nice GUI, but it only came with data files for handheld systems. Anything like that on NES? |
