The Ship Hold track sounded like something from Doom |

Most of the aural, spacey effects seemed to sound pretty well, but some of the instruments on the main tune did seem pretty "MIDI". Which isn't to say necessarily bad. I think it sounded pretty great, I really really enjoy the original. The DKC soundtrack is probably my favorite ever
Still, cool work |

This is very, very win. The only problem is that that the wind instruments are very quiet. And the trombone is a bit loud too. Just fix the volume issues, and this will surpass perfection, breaking the laws of physics that go with that. |

I liked it a lot and thought it was very close to the original. The only problem were some sudden rises in pitch/volume.
Although I really did hate those stages. The most annoying in all of dkc.. |

Nice choice of instruments and quite close to the original version compared to the other knock-offs I've run into. It's a lovely piece done well. One of my favorites too!
Cheveyo: I think the midi players vary alot from computer to computer depending on what it's set to (if you can set it, I have done it before). So it'll sound different on someone else's. Maybe instead of a smooth trombone sound, you may get an obnoxious sound on another computer. I think using an older player (windows 98 or 2000) on maximum quality gives the best results. |

Hmm...
Some of the instrument choices seem a little off. I know you're not going for a direct clone of the original, but some of them just don't seem to sound right. Beyond that, I hear no problems. I do like most of the instrument choices, I think it's just a few of the wind instruments (can't tell what instruments they are, though) that seem a little off. I'm probably the only one, but I'd like to see you do Ship Hold at some point. Partially because I actually liked that music in the original (though not as much as Lava, Enchanted Wood, Brambles, and Swamp), and partially because I could use a new BGM for the Sunken Ship area in RO. |

Sounds like a MIDI, but it's still awesome. |

Man, I wish I could provide some feedback, but I am just terrible when it comes to sound and music. I'm posting anyway because I think you did a pretty sweet job so far and I felt bad when I tried to leave without commending you. I agree, it could use a bit of tweaking, and I wish I were musically oriented enough to get a handle on exactly how I think it could be improved. But it is a good rendition. I wish also that I had the original on hand to compare it to, but I am using someone else's computer.
Anyway. It sounds very professional. I hope you can get it to a point that satisfies you. |

I'm still not quite satisfied with it... I think some input would be good. So... what do you think? |
