And yeah, I know Kawachan draws me more catlike than Elin but I kind of like both styles. :3 More pictures probably come up later this weekend in a probably seperate thread as she will have access to a scanner again. :p |

My statement was mostly to tease Emil (using his real name to not confuse between the character of Ailure ) |

I think I´m going to request a pic by Elin for my birthday. I don´t know what I want her to draw, though.
Maybe a catgirl. Or her fursona. |

Actually...
On square boobage: 1) I used to trace my art in PSP with naught but straight lines. 2) For fun, I traced some stuff with bezier vector lines. 3) Now I have Flash and I freehand everything. On Ailure looking carefree: That's because I always draw Ailure as a boy cat, not a catboy. Elin drawing him as a catboy is her choice. |

Your Ailure is more manly than the above layout

Mm, considering that i'm her brother I probalby would wind up being very biased instead of making constructive comments. I could say, there's still alot of drawing unscanned around in her apartment. We got the scanner just a few days ago.
Also, the cat-doll being named "Kisse" is a sort of an injoke against me. (Swedish for kitty) >> |

I like these quite a bit. The fact that it's pencilled and not colored in gives a style I find particularly pleasing.
Then again I'm one of those furry addicts everyone hates. But yeah, grayscale for the win. |

Came to think about that it also depends from what angle you see them.
There are always tutorials you can find on the net, though. |

Originally posted by Dudette Glad you like them, I have problem with drawing the hands and legs too. And I also have some problem with drawing men, they always end up looking a bit feminine... Trapster: I think its hard to make the eyes look symmetric, but thanks for the useful tip. |

Yeah, those pictures are great. I´ve commented on them before but it doesn´t hurt doing it again. I very much agree with Tarale about the anatomy and the anime part.
You´ve much talent, Elin, and I know you can become even better. "Starfox..." Ask her which videogame character she likes the most, Kitty ATW. Edit: Unfortunately, I´m not that good with constructive comments as I´m not a good drawer. Sorry about that. I know you want to improve, though. Edit yet again: I just noticed that the eyes on the close-up pic of that naked fox are of different sizes. Try to change that with your next drawing and it´ll become even better. |

They look great; I especially like the first two. I've always had trouble drawing human figures, arms, hands and legs
Good job |

Furriness and roughly, a good 100 different types of allergens run in Ailure's family. |

Well, as I've said -- your definition of furries is because of your own prejudices, and not a reflection of this artist, or the vast majority of "furries" on this board. Just because you have seen some furries behave a certain way is not a reason to think that ALL furries are a certain way, or that it's the be-all and end-all of furry fandom.
So I'll thank you to keep your one-sided opinion to yourself. And this thread is NOT for this discussion, so take it elsewhere, and that goes for anybody else wishing to discuss this here, not just Riku. |
