It's frustrating trying to give someone advice to help them out in some way. Yet they don't even want to try. My best online friend is having trouble with her boyfriend as they barely get to spend time with each other anymore. I would like to yell at him but he never gets online anymore or when he does tell her that he'll be on; he doesn't. I just want to strangle him for seemingly making up excuses or the jest of it. It's bad enough that he stood her up a few saturdays ago from "feeling sick" and he told her that he "lost" his phone while paint balling the previous night on monday as they go to school together. So he couldn't answer her calls, which he barely uses his phone anyway. So he doesn't call her everyday or so.

She has low self-esteem issues and doesn't like to bother any of her RL friends with this whole situation and since she still lives at home. Her mother and step-father yell at her when he doesn't spend time with her. Not to forget he claims he loves her and yet he would like to play his games before spending time with her. As weekends are for like D&D and whatnot. Also she doesn't like to guilt-trip anyone so she has never brought up these kinds of issues with her boyfriend which I have told her that she needs to speak up and set him straight.

This is why I wish sometimes I could do more than offer advice but since I can't call long distances to yell at her boyfriend like I did once before on AIM. Hence why I wish he would sign on more often than never.
