In 1-1, the music sounds all screwed up. Is there a way to change it back to normal? Also, using the Mario Discombobulator, would the length of a level affect the starting point of Mario in the level? |

Well, I did all those things but the game still freezes up. Should I just start the hack again from scratch? |

The problem could be a number of things: a missing or bad pointer to the world 1 map or to level 1-1, a "Crash" object placed somewhere in your level (M3I likes to randomly toss them in your level after you save sometimes), or you may have gone over the limit of 3-byte, 4-byte, or sprite objects.
Check your level for "Crash" objects in M3I. If there are none, open a clean ROM in M3I, go to the Level menu and select Level Info. Take note of the Size in Bytes and Size of Enemy Data (which should be 263 and 42, respectively). Then open your edited ROM and go to Level Info. If the Size in Bytes or the Size of Enemy Data (or both) are larger than the values from the clean ROM, your level has too many objects. If this is the case, try deleting some objects to shrink the level size. --Kamek77 |

I'm having trouble with my SMB3 hack, I used Mario Improvement 3 and The Mario Discombobulator (for map-editing). As I was editing 1-1 I check to see, if there were any objects that might crash the game, but after I finished editing 1-1 and played the edited rom, the game froze. |
