Thoughts: (The place is empty! Maybe I can get a tutorial.)

And such was the Mad Crusader's first thoughts inside the SimBattle Arena. He had waited long for a good opprotunity to enter, but waited for long time periods. Now that another had shown nothing was happening, he finally entered.

However, he just wasn't feeling up to his best at the moment. A headache from falling over the table when company arrived just wasn't a good way to greet someone. But if he didn't go now, someone else could come and ruin his chance. So, now's a better time than he can currently get.

"Oi!" he gave a shout. "We got anyone in here?"

He tried to get ready in a hurry, so he left some of his heavy equipment at home. He missed his visor and shoes since they gave normally gave no defensive pros, and his Blocker Blade would be too heavy to rush with. He still had his shield generator and Sword Shocker, and he never left anywhere without his Crossbow or his Distance Gun. And the flak jacket wouldn't hurt since he could put it on while moving.

"Yo, Narrator! I want response, not description!"

Oh. Did I mention he can hear me? That the problem with customs, they tend to hear you 'think.'

The cafeteria remained empty and desolate. Nothing was going on and it was a mess.

William, now appointed moderator here, had a lot of cleaning up to do here.

Someone came in asking about rom hacks.

"Uh, this is the wrong place. You want to go here for rom hacking stuff. Note that you have to have approval, though."

William sighed. He thought he had another fighter that was ready to go. That was not the case.

"Well, let's get Rixe and Spikeo here to help clean up the mess and hire a new chef..."

It was dark... drungy, pure black as far as the eye could see.

"Ori wa messiah nirai, HAHAHAHA!" Then he showed up. Shadow, the bastard who refuses to freaking die. David was powerless somehow, and his body was paralyzed in total fear. Shadow lunged towards all his friends, effectively slashing them down in cold muderous blood. He yelled at loud as he could, but his voice was silent. He watched, one by one, as all his friends died. What made him wake up total fear, was the slashing of a beam scythe that slashed through his wife's neck, held by none other than Zekt.

o o o

"ALIA!" He cried out, falling off the couch in the Executive Lounge.

"What the fuck David! I'm trying to sleep!" Then RX calmed down when he saw and felt the cold fear that was radiating from their shared link, "Yo, you alright?" Despite being transparent, RX picked David off the ground, as the human sat down on the couch, face buried in his head, dripping in cold sweat.

"Those nightmares you've had lately has been an annoyance. You sure you don't want to talk about it...?"

"No... I'm, I'm fine... I'm fine, I just... need to deal wiht my personal demons. No offence..." he said, tears flowing down his face still.

"None taken, I guess... was it "that" dream again?" David nodded, and RX sighed, "Don't worry.... I'm sure nothing would ever happen to your Alia-chan."

"It's more than that... this time it wasn't Shadow who slashed her throat, it was... him."

"Oh.... oh my, that IS very interesting." Then he "oomph"ed as David just collasped, his cheeks stained with tears, and he's out like a light. RX felt akward, but he let his head rest in his lap, and just brushed his clawed fingers through his hair gently, an oddly warm smile on his face.

When he first fused himself into David's soul when he found him in the spirit world, all he wanted was a body to spread his terror, but since he's been with him for more than four or five years, he's adapted towards his light. There's only one thing that they agree on; the reploids that descend from RX's old home world must suffer for trying to destroy them, making his life misrable. The last battle nearly destroyed him had he not offer help before he gave chase after the Super Navi.

But then again, Mavericks or Irregulars don't care much, except him... he's a Maverick, but he cares for David... he's been alone all hsi childhood. In odd lights, he's just like X. X is the only child that exists off from the famous Dr. Light in the future, and what makes him like X is that David's family was taken away from him by a cruel twist of fate...

OOC: We need more activity...

Eyes up and open. They're heading your way.

David scoffed at his Inner Voice. I'm busy. They won't see me.

You've always loved this spot. This is also the table where you and Alia f-

Shut up!

Then up came Zero and his Navi ForteZero. "I am not, under any circumstances, come hell or high water, participating in any plan you two have managed to cock together."

The two troublemakers took a conspirator's seat at David's pilfered shadowed table outside in the garden under the shade of a large Willow Tree, heedless of the warning. Zero, being the more experienced of the two, managed to hide everything but the excited glimmer in his eyes, whereas ForteZero was practically radiating juvenile glee. David did his level best to death glare them back into line.

"I mean it." And to prove his point, he returned to studying his book.

May I remind you of what happened last time, only with Markus and Spider? And when they didn't budge, David flipped the two off, which sent his Inner Voice to rumble into a laughing yet taunting matter.

"Well shoot, guess he doesn't want to go. Not after I tried so hard to get these tickets to go to the Pre-Light Ancient Egyptian exhibit." The blond haired Hunter removed three slips of cardboard-laced paper from a hidden pocket in his armor. With all the tease of a fat, lazy cat, he slowly began to wag them in front of David’s face, chuckling at the way Dave’s eyes followed them as if lost in a hypnotic dream.

Careful. You're drooling.

And setting new world record of setting his book, closed up, and front of the book facing the clothed table, snatched the tickets form Zero's loose grip, with a small whoosh of wind following two seconds later.

"What the? These are nearly impossible to get!" David exclaimed. Zero slowly grinned.

"Well... let's say I pulled some strings with some people down at the Amerouppe museum."

David paled at those words. "Oh you didn't..."

"Yuuuup."

Point, check, and match for Zero-sempai.

"I told them that I had a good friend who was the son of the world's most respected archeologists in the world in the Ancient Egyptian field. And well, that's where the ticket's come from."

"... Besides, you've always wanted to go every since you were a kid, but with dad always soo busy with his job..."

"I know.... I wanted to go, but he was always god damn busy! I hardly spent any time with BOTH my parents, nor my sister who always went off to do missions for the Officials. And when my family died that day... I wasn't able to do anything."

David lowered his head, closing his eyes. Zero placed a hand on his shoulder. "Look David, don't beat yourself up about it... it was a long time ago. You still have your life, and I'm sure they're happy for you even today regardless..."

As much as I hate to admit, Zero's right David. It wasn't your fault that your family would be taken away from you. That's basically what life is... filled with unexpected surprises.

"C'mon... I'm sure Alia and Kristi would like to go to that museum exhibit too." Then the two headed back towards the door, and wandered off towards the building's gymasium room for some basketball.

You always wanted to go my yandoushi; you shouldn't let this opportunity pass by.

... I guess...

Just get up, splash water on your face in the men's room, and then go get your wife and Kristi.

David nodded, and slowly picked up his book, pocketed the tickets and headed inside. RX couldn't help but smile warmly.

Slayer jumped from rooftop to rooftop. He was chasing after an Official in Ajiina, who the 32 year old man was running for his life through a dark part of Singe City.

He was running through the dark alleys, afraid out of his wits. Then, he struck a dead-end.

"Ohh shit, no where to go!" He looked around for a place to plug his Navi in, his then realized that he had his Sub PET wiht him, which held no Navi in it. He heard the sound of a metallic thump, as Slayer jumped down, and stood upright.

The man backed up against the wall, begging him not to kill him. No one heard the man's blood-curtling scream as Slayer swiftly disposed of him, dismembering him without shedding blood.

Satisfyed of his kill, the General Grievous look-a-like jumped onto the nearby roof and vanished into the night, leaving behind a badily mutilated body.

OOC: Now for something totaly unrelated to Pie re-designing the Sim-Battle Cafe...

Meanwhile... in the cyber world...

"Aero Slam!" Wind Crowrang flew down from the sky, and managed to leave a deep gash in ForteZero's armored X-Fire form. The Dark Nation Navi smirked as he flew back up and remained floating in the sky. He was a black bird-like Navi. His beak and feathers were as dark as obsidian. His body was covered in dark green armor save for the joints, which were black. A pair of black crow wings mounted his back and two katanas were strapped to his hips. The resurrected Navi summoned his underlings and commanded them to attack.

The first crow threw a Flash Bomb, which was blown out of the sky and also deleted it. The Kunai Crow threw his weapons. The White Shadow avoided it. The Muramasa Crow and Shuriken Crow double-attacked, and were all deleted.

Wind Crowrang cawed before launching matrix-styled kunai at him. ForteZero dashed about the area, launching several fireballs at the ninja crow Navi while dodging the homing kunai. "Wind Cutter!" He launched several crescent shaped energy blades from his swinging kunai, clipping the Navi at the shoulders.

"Hehehehe, I come back from deletion, and you have trouble trying to delete me?" He cawed in a mocking tone, unsheathing a Muramasa and dive-bombs him.

"Fire Buster!" He raised the weapon and retaliated with a powerful fireball. The bird was unable to dodge in time and was blown back. Only a few charred feathers, but he shook off the after-shock effect. ForteZero dashed forward, retracting his claws on the buster.

"Kiss my buster!" And with that, he shot his buster gun forward and latched to his face, and attacked with Buster Collider. The attack blew his head up into fragmented data, as his headless form dropped to the ground, and broke apart into data. ForteZero exited his Style Change, and held out his hand. It glowed faintly before the data that was floating away gathered into his palm, and was absorbed.

After he finished absorbing Wind Crowrang's data, he logged out. However, he failed to notice a Navi with long cyan colored hair watching him from the darkness of the surrounding pillars of the Uranet.

"... ForteZero..." The female Navi sighed to herself and flopped against the black pillar. How was she gonna confront him... he thought she was dead after she saved him and his friends by stealing a fragment of the Crest of Arcadia from Great Redips.

FLASHBACK

She was looking out towards the vastness of space, when her lover walked over to her, concerned.

"Don't worry... I'll get rid of this with my own hands..." She looked over at the five, and smiled, "Okay?"

ForteZero nodded, "Yeah, okay Leviathan..." She smiled more before she turned her gaze out to space again. Just then, a rumbling was heard before the entire platform shook. Zero noticed it first, then the others did as well.

"You guys. Hurry. This place is gonna reach the atmosphere any second now." David looked at Zero and nodded. Leviathan turned around and faced the Hunters, with an apologetic smile.

"You guys, I'm sorry for all that has happened..." ForteZero and the others looked at her.

"It's okay Leviathan. Just hurry and- huh?" Everyone displayed shocked faces as she took a step back, and leapt off the falling and burning building.

I'll take this to a place so far away, that nobody will ever find it...

END FLASHBACK

"My love... how can I come to you now..." The girl sighed once more, wiping a tear from her eye before she picked up her spear weapon and walked away.

* * *

Wind Cutter obtained!

ForteZero appears on screen, his right arm transformed into his Forte Buster. His color scheme was dark purple, green, and obsidian black. Suddenly, he raised his buster and fired a spinning energy kunai that traveled medium distance then returned on a parabolic curve. Image Freeze.

WEAPON GET!

* * *

ForteZero returned to his body in the real world, as he walked away from the PC, and glanced upon a photo. It was him and Levi-chan... Spending some quality time with one another during the whole war.

FLASHBACK

ForteZero looked over his shoulder, and walked over to Leviathan, who was looking out into the vastness of space.

"You guys, I'm sorry for all that has happened..." ForteZero and the others looked at her as she turned to face them.

"It's okay Leviathan. Just hurry and- huh?" Everyone displayed shocked faces as Leviathan took a step back and jumped off the large platform building.

"Leviathan!" ForteZero ran out over to the edge as he extended his hand, but she was floating away too fast as the platform reached closer to Earth's atmosphere. He was devastated. He slowly clenched his fists and screamed out in pain.

"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!" The remains of the large room were collapsing, as several large chunks of metal collapsed, crushing Redips' dead body. Outside, the atmosphere was heating up the large falling building as parts of it was slowly breaking off. Explosions rang out here and there as large chunks of debris were incinerated.

"You guys, we have to close the hatch..." Forte said as he, Zero, and Marino were standing over an open hull. Zero and Marino leapt down, followed by Forte and David. Sirens rang out as they all landed and began walking towards the emergency room to await the descending platform's destruction...

ForteZero jumped down last as the door overhead began to close. David looked at his friend as ForteZero looked back up into the reddening sky. He sighed and closed his eyes as tears escaped his eyes, before he followed the others, hands tightly clenched up.

Goodbye Leviathan... I'll never forget you my love... The doors finally sealed shut, and locked.

END FLASHBACK

ForteZero closed his eyes as tears streamed down his face.

"Why... why did fate have to do this to me. To torment me with this pain..." He dropped to his knees, in agony, "Leviathan!!"

FLASHBACK

ForteZero was looking around, as if he felt he was being followed. Once knowing that he wasn't being tailed, he entered this cyber karaoke bar at Internet City, and sat down at a nearby table next to the stage.

At the entrance, Fairy Leviathan; General of Ice, shown up and looked around. She spotted ForteZero, and calmly walked over, and surprised him with a kiss. He was startled for a bit, but then he smiled and drew her into his lap for a more passionate kiss. Five minutes passed before they slowly broke it off, and she took a seat next to him.

"Levi-chan... were you followed?"

"Hopefully not. You know Diana and my other friends are gonna tear you apart when they find out," the girl told her secret lover. The White Shadow nodded.

"I don't think my friends and family won't appreciate me falling in love with the enemy." He looked down for a bit, but she gave him a warm smile.

"They just don't understand... none of them don't..."

"... You know that you will eventually be forced to do something that will require me to delete you... but I can't bear to lose you..." She looked up at him, and smiled softly.

"We'll see what fate has in store for us..." He slid a hand over, and the White Shadow grasped it in his grip.

"Yeah..." The two leaned closer, and shared another prolonged snog session.

"Hey! Let's sing a song together!" She exclaimed. The brother of the Black Shadow sweatdropped.

"Nani?" She only giggled before yanking him up from the seat as they entered onto stage. A crowd cheered for them as a song started to play out from the cyber speakers. But in the back near the entrance, three Navis entered the building.

"Explain to me why we are trailing after Leviathan?" Fefnir asked, annoyed.

"Because Saiba is concerned she is doing some things that could hinder our plans," the Green General replied to the fiery one-man army. Fefnir only growled but nodded, and Phantom remained silent as always. Just as the two were about to leave after they searched the crowds, the ninja Navi snapped his fingers and pointed towards the stage.

"What the hell?" Harpuia was the first to notice, then Fefnir. The three Generals saw their fourth comrade on stage singing beautifully, with ForteZero!

"What the hell is she doing with that bastard?" Fefnir shouted. Phantom quickly slapped a hand over his mouth to shut him up.

"Shut up Fefnir. We found her, but now we'll have to keep a close eye on her." The three grab themselves a table hidden from view, but able to have a clear view of the stage, and watched as she and ForteZero sang the song "I.D.E.A" beautifully.

When the song finally ended, they got a huge wave of applause from the crowds. The couple left the stage, and soon exited the building, with the Generals tailing them in secret.

"Levi-chan... want to just stay the rest of the night with me?" She thought about it for a moment, before she nodded.

"Sure. But where to? Your operator may send the others on me, and then my friends will try and kill you on sight if we head to my place, which is off-limits." She then squeaked and blushed furiously as ForteZero swept her off her feet and held her in his arms.

"We can go to that cyber hotel off 10th and Met Avenue? I'm practically rich since I'm in a successful organization and all. I'll treat you like a queen." She smiled and pecked him on the cheek before the two went off to their destination.

"Damn him. I wanna tear him to shreds!" Fefnir shouted from the alley-way.

"No. Now that we know where Leviathan has been vanishing too lately, we'll report back to Saiba and our Net-ops."

HARPUIA LOGGING OUT

Fefnir growled, but only closed his eyes.

FEFNIR LOGGING OUT

Phantom narrowed his eyes at the two vanishing on the horizon.

PHANTOM LOGGING OUT

END FLASHBACK

He remained on the floor. How they were discovered quickly the next day. He never expected his friends to form a truce with the Neo Arcadian army just to get them to separate. Fate had a way of kicking your ass and taunting you.

When he and Leviathan went to his PC to grab some things, they had never expected their friends to be waiting the entire night...

FLASHBACK

“Yeah Levi-chan.” She giggled. ForteZero had told her the times when his brother would play pranks on Zero, like this one time, Zero woke up as usual, and the whole base was snickering at him for some reason. He was chasing after Forte slashing like a madman after his brother when he noticed his hair was braided into pigtails.

The couple were returning, after... spending some quality time at the Presidental suite of that cyber hotel.

“I bet Zero was really pissed off,” she said.

“Yeah.” He laughed, before he stopped. There in David’s PC were all of his friends, and Harpuia, Fefnir, and Phantom.

“What the?”

“ForteZero! How could you fall in love with the enemy?” Blues said first. Harpuia flew over and glared at her.

“Leviathan. How could you go out... with this cretin.” The White Shadow growled and brought Levi-chan behind him.

“Back off Sage!”

Fefnir growled, before he leapt into action. “You bastard!”

ForteZero quickly grabbed Levi-chan and jumped away before Fefnir's Torch Claws would have struck him. He set Leviathan down next to his friends before he leapt towards Fefnir, sabers ripped out.

“Fefnir, calm down!” Saiba said, but it was futile. The two let out battle cries as the two collided. Fefnir punched his away, but he was slashed across the chest in an X-shaped fashion.

In the real world, the two groups that formed a truce were beginning to argue amongst themselves, as David slipped away and entered into the cyber world via Pulse In.

As like their Operators, the Navis were arguing about this as well.

“Firewave!” ForteZero swept his sabers up and released two Fire Towers that struck him. It only stunned him long enough for a Drill Crush attack to be successful. Fefnir punched him away.

“Meteor Rain!” He fired several volleys of flames into the air that came raining back down as flaming meteors. ForteZero switched to his R Scythe, and protected himself in his AT Field, lowering all forms of damage to barely minimal damage.

“Tornado Scythe!” ForteZero flew forward at lightning speed and spun his scythe, slashing him twice. Immediately he followed with reverse 360 vertical slashes dragging the fiery Navi into the air, then another powerful strike the sent him colliding with the ground creating a small crater.

“Boys! Stop this now!” Leviathan shouted. She couldn’t bear to see ForteZero hurt, nor any of her comrades.

He summoned his K Knuckles in place of his R Scythe. He leapt at Fefnir when he got up from the hole in the ground. “Senpuukyaku!” He landed in triple hits from his spinning tornado kick, and landed.

“Take this!” Fefnir charged forward and surprised him by latching on with his Torch Claw and pelted him numerous times with close-blank buster attacks.

David stepped forward, as he raised his buster behind him, the barrel glowing brightly and his entire arm shaking with immense energy stored in.

“Big Bang Strike!” He thrusted it forward and immediately was recoiled from launching an immense surge of plasma energy. His friends were caught in the recoil when was sent back from the blast, Leviathan moving out of the way in time to avoid getting hit.

The attack flew so fast, neither battler had time to react when they were both struck down. The attack effectively stopped the battle.

Leviathan ran over to ForteZero and helped him up, as Harpuia and Phantom ran to Fefnir's side.

David narrowed his eyes in anger, walking over to his Navi. "Why? How could you and Leviathan find love with one another? You are a Maverick Hunter! And she is part of Neo Arcadia!"

"You won't understand. None of you will!" ForteZero hissed at him, before he was punched in the face.

“ForteZero... you are forbidden to see Leviathan again... got it?”

He growled and ran off, vanishing into the depths of the Uranet. Leviathan called out to him, but he never heard her. She closed her eyes before puffing her cheeks, walked over and slapped David across the face.

“Like he said. You will never know what true love is!”

David held the sore spot on his cheek, before he closed his eyes. “I’m keeping my promise...” He turned towards Harpuia, and nodded, “Get out of here before I take it back and call the Officials and the Net Saviors.”

Sage Harpuia looked at him before nodding, and he and Phantom logged out. Fefnir growled and logged out as well, and Leviathan soon followed. She and Diana were arguing with each other as the Generals left. David’s friends left as well, and he soon pulsed out.

* * *

ForteZero sat alone on top the tallest structure of the Uranet, watching the activity below, before he received an e-mail. Quickly accessing his PET, he read it... then quickly logged in the location and date. He just remained there... cooling off his head.

END FLASHBACK

Heh... being told he was forbidden to see her again, that never helped. Before Saiba unleashed his next plan, the two met one last time at Beach Street's cyber world area, with the time, date, and place Leviathan sent to him via e-mail.

FLASHBACK

"ForteZero!" The White Shadow turned around, only to be glomped by Levi-chan. The two shared a kiss right away, but the other Navi sensed that something was wrong.

"Leviathan?"

"Listen... I don't know what will happen. I'm here to tell you that... well; we may not return again for awhile."

"Saiba’s gonna start his plan, right?"

"Right... I'm sorry. Just... promise me that if you do arrive and stop Saiba... you would save me?”

She looked down, back turned towards him. ForteZero spun her around and held her in his arms.

“I promise Leviathan. I’ll save you from this darkness...” She looked up, a blush forming on her cheeks before she pulled off his helmet and tossing it onto the cyber sand. ForteZero pulled off her helmet, letting her full hair fall free, before the two neared one another as her helmet clattered onto the sand next to his...

END FLASHBACK

He had already gotten up, and was consoling with his feelings. He managed to push those dark and hurtful feelings aside before heading out. All of his friends knew how much Leviathan’s death did to him. Of course, none of their “other” friends from the Sim Battle Arena knew that he loved and lost. If there was a way, he will do whatever it takes to revive her.

... If he only knew the truth... that Levi-chan was well alive, but in hiding.

Away from the cafeteria, a beam of blue light shot down in the nearby park. He quickly scanned the cafeteria building, and confirming what HQ detected earlier, made his way and entered through the destroyed front doors. The S Class Maverick Hunter David Abbott had shown up.

"Damn, this place is a wreck," David said to himself as he stepped in, clad in a all-new upgrade. His boots were slightly bulky, but they looked to be thin and easily maneuverable. There were red gems set into yellow knee guards, with a V-shaped white line outlining it on the lower boot. The main color was mostly azure blue, with white and yellow highlights. White ankle guards surrounded the lower leg, with small red gems set into the ankles. A black body suit covered his body underneath the armor, with his Command Armor belt adorning the waist (like always). The belt itself is white and light blue, with a yellow-colored, pentagon-shaped buckle with an emerald gem set in the center of the belt buckle. A gun hoslter was connected to the left side of the belt which held within a strange shaped pistol. Three thin white lines lead away from the belt; two connected to his boots, the third running from the tip of the belt buckle to the chest plate. The chest plate was two-toned blue with light blue breast plates and an azure blue main plate, all trimmed in white. The shoulder plates were azure blue as well, circular in shape with a yellow band marking the end of the shoulder plate. Seen over the right shoulder is a saber handle, which is attached to a hoslter on his back. The gauntlets were a lot like the boots; azure blue, trimmed with white and a ruby-red gem set into the yellow elbow guards. A yellow neck guard finished off the body armor. A circular helmet rested on his head, with his and his Navi's emblem as ear guards. Indigo blue framed his determined face, with azure blue for the helmet’s main color. A final red gem was set into his helmet, with an indigo blue strip running along the top of his helmet.

His right arm glowed before transforming into his buster, energy being drawn into the barrel. Sekai somehow lost his concentration, but instead summoned his Chozo Staff from sub-space just after Axel made his daring move.

He followed suit, and will also slash with the sharp beak of the Chozo Staff in an 80 degree upward angle at Pie. As for David...

"David, what's going on?" Alia came through on his COM.

"Well, it appears some man with data signatures is stirring up trouble."

"A virus or a Darkloid?"

"Not a Darkloid, but he have virus characteristics in him, according to what my scanners are showing me. Apparently a man in a leather trench coat and what looks like.... an anime Prinny with a pair of knives is attacking said unknown character."

"A Prinny? From that one anime Forte downloads off torrent sites?"

"As much as I would love to discuss it hun," He turned his attention towards Pie, and the two he was apparently up against, "I need to figure out who's enemy and who's not."

A flurry of knives flew out at the salad bars, slicing them into bulky pieces as Axel clomped forward, reaching into his pack and throwing out knife after knife at the wall of salad. Cucumbers, lettuce and tomatoes flew everywhere, and bits of viral data splattered over the tiles of the cafeteria as the army of Prinnies retreated back into the kitchens.

Axel: "Get this mess cleaned up, pronto!"

Prinnies: "Ho, dood!"

They shuffled away, and cleared out the tables and chairs that weren't destroyed in the chaos that had just erupted within the space of a few seconds. Efficiency!

Axel said nothing, and drew out a pair of knives that looked better suited for gutting velociraptors than fish. He held them in a foolish pose, their oversized blades making him seem smaller by comparison. He did not, suffice it to say, look very intimidating at all. Still, he stood at the ready.

Axel: "I'm sick of appetizers, dood! Time for a main course!"

Axel zoomed forward with inpenguin speed, his peg legs drumming against the floor tiles in a fast cadence. He tore through Pie's wall of salad bars and went straight for the heart of the artichoke, swinging both knives forward and launching a blast of cutting wind at the infectious fighter to cut off his concentration -- and his head!

Sekai brought his hands up into a ninjutsu pose, as a faint aura started to form around him, which mad ehis hair barely beginning to flow into the air around him, as his loose leather jacket. He was channeling his Psi energy, as he attempted to enter his mind. He had used the mental technique many times, and it hasn't failed him. It is mostly used to sense any form of dark energy within a person.

Pie looks like a person who would want to cause trouble and harm the innocent, but unlike most people, he would first try to gain a sense of his supposed opponent before taking any drastic measures. If Pie has evil in him, then he would pose as a signifigant threat... in its early stage.

He had learned that its best to take out a possible galactic threat before the fire spreads.

Pie watched, indifferently almost, as the army of prinnies destroyed the virtual decor and gathered threateningly against him. Combined with Sekai, they would be a formidable force. Pie leapt off of the table he sat on, the only wire frame table remaining, and twirled through the air as he floated toward the very center of the room. He did not have any intention to fight them; in his mind, he was helping. However, he would just have to help harder.

Pie >> I am the one responsible for the messages, however it is not trouble that I truly intend to cause. Activity in the complex has reached a low, and it would be in our benefit to draw more in. My observations of humans and other sentient life shows that they generally respond in a positive fashion to exciting scenes. I will make this cafeteria an exciting scene. Resist if you may; that will spurn more action. However, I do this for your own good.

Pie >> Have some crispy salad.

Lights flashed on the floor around him forming a square ring, and salad bars sprouted up from these lit spaces shooting dozens of bowls of snacks at the opposing prinnies and Sekai, unceasing in their barrage of leafy greens. More salad seemed to be generated in the trays to replace those that were shot off. Pie had unwittingly created a defense for himself, walling himself away from the birds and bounty hunter - if they were to stop him, they'd have to deal with the salads. And the only way to stop his mad renovation would be to get him, as everything he created was generated from the virus that flowed through his cyber suit.

"..." Through the whole explosions from the undead prinnies, he had raised a barrier around himself to protect himself form the explosions. He looked down at Axel after the slight chaos calmed, "I'm sorry if I disreguard you. I'm here to take that man in, before things get way out of hand. The last thing I need is Samus telling me she was correct on planatary epxlosions and all that..."

He then looked back towards Pie, his clawed gloves faintly glowing.

About Sekai, he takes on the apperance of a regular human 6 foot 3, but with slightly pointy ears (elf human basically). Sekai had long black hair, a few locks covering his left eye, which are highlighted a golden yellow. A small light blue four-pointed crystal with small silver wings etched out of raw diamond is embedded into his forehead. His eyes are different colors; the left is crimson, the right is silver. He has a black bodysuit covering his entire body, a sweater vest/pants combo, dark green in appearance with silver rings around the wrists, and dark blue armor padding over the torso, and chevron borders fused to the sides of his pants. Overlapping the clothing is a combat coat with swallow tails hanging form the bottom back of the black leather coat, strapped together by leather straps around the waist. An image on the back of the leather coat (which Axel and his squadron army of prinnies can see) is a picture of a young humanoid girl with cyan long hair and silver eyes with ribbons covering her breasts, her legs tucked in like a mermaid.

He also wears stylish cybernetic armor boots similar to those of Samus Aran's bounty hunter armor, only jet black in color with green booster indents on the soles of the boots. The metal gloves worn over his hands are lined with green along the fingers and thumb below and above tracing to a small crystal orb embedded on the gloves, dark purple in appearance. A necklace attached to an old England pocket watch/locket hangs from his neck, which contained within is a photo of his lost love from his teen years...

OOC: Forte, that 100x100 rules.

Axel said nothing. His peg legs clomped down on each floor tile like a pirate on the deck of a sailing ship. In spite of his beak, he was still able to frown disapprovingly at the new decor. The cafeteria wasn't meant to be hip, it was there for pure utility!

Axel: "Hip? I'll give ya hip, dood!"

He raised a flipper in the air, and suddenly dozens of fellow Prinnies poured out of the kitchen, an army of undead penguins standing behind him and brandishing butcher knives.

"Boys, get these tables outta here!"

Prinny Squad (in unison): "Sir!"

The prinnies approached each table in what appeared to be (for once) a perfectly capable and cohesive formation of teamwork, approaching them in tandem, two to a table...

...When suddenly, of each pair of prinnies, one prinny lifted another up, and hurled it at the table, causing a rollicking explosion that made random NPCs everywhere duck in cover! The exploding prinnies, with their defining features distinguishing them from the masses of dynamite penguins, re-emerged from the kitchen door as if nothing happened.

An unstoppable army of explosive undead at Axel's disposal? Not quite... But the room was at least clear of those hideous tables. The mass of prinnies stood behind Axel as he clomped forward, standing beside David. He was somewhat miffed that David had regarded him with so little. Unlike other Prinnies, Axel had dignity.

Axel: "You could say that. But this is between me and him, dood..."

A loud rumbling of a spaceship is heard outside, as Sekai landed in front of the building. The hatch on top opens and Sekai jumps out and lands on the ground (insert "Metroid Zero Mission: Intro Theme" in this space).

Right away, the tables and chairs lodged in the doors flash before being vaporized, and in stepped David Leon Sekai. The bounty hunter took a glance at several people in the cafeteria, then towards the Prinny. Isn't that a Prinny seen in that one anime show? He then shook that thought out of his mind and then glanced up towards the person who is the source of the trouble.

"..." He walked forward and stopped just a few inches of him, "So, are you the man causing all this trouble?"

Pie observed the bizarre Prinny before him, completely still among the bucking tables and chairs around them.

Pie >> Your cafeteria? That is unfortunate. But it will be mine, indefinitely. This cafeteria will have changes, you see.

The many tables tumbled toward the exits and piled against the doors, sloppily trying to fit through so the room could be cleared. Once enough space had been made near the center of the room, the floor blinked and flashed, and new tables sprouted from the ground. These were similar to the originals, except they were a transparent blue color with visible wire frame lines along their surfaces - just like anything else that Pie generated out of cyberspace. Pie floated from the ground to sit on the edge of one of these, casually looking down at Axel with his staff held loosely to his side.

Pie >> My banks have acquired ample knowledge of peoples' tastes and pleasures, and I will now redesign this cafeteria accordingly; it will be hip.

"Yes Hardy..." David, mainly known as Sekai, sighed, listening to his commanding officer, along with his good friends Samus Aran, and Armstrong Houston.

"A person with a toneless and what we figured emotionless voice, hijacked all frequencies and every single television and holo-vision screen around the Galactic Federation, repeating ''Stop me. Destroy me. Stop me. Destroy me.''" Apparently Pie's voice echoed out even towards space far away in the furutre...

Samus sighed. "I am asure you Hardy that everyone heard it."

"Heard what," said the imfamous dragon Ridley as he stepped in.

"I'll explain later, Ridley," Sekai said. He was still unconfortable of Ridley no longer the Federation's enemy, but instead reformed his life to be a good person.

Hardy cleared his throat. "Anyway, whoever this person is, we can be sure this person is up to no good."

"Great. Here we go with yet another galactic adventure that could result in a planetary explosion in the final battle of good versus evil."

Sekai smirked. "Well, it's not like you caused whatever planet you stepped on except SR388 to explode." The blond haired woman wearing her Chozo armor hit him in the back of the head with her left hand instead of using her arm cannon. Sekai rubbed the pain over the back of his head, growling a bit.

"We'll need one of you to go."

"Well, I would but I would probaby attract trouble since I was once known to be the Mother Brain's right hand man in the past," the dragon replied.

"My starship is currently on repairs after my last bounty hunt, and Armstrong's ship is in the same condition." They all then turned to face Sekai. He immediatly knew where this was heading.

"Oh, Hell no! There's no way I'm gonna take this mission by myself..."

* * *

"Damn it! How does Sammy-girl always persuade me like that...?" Sekai sighed to himself, currently in hyper-space drive heading towards the last known location of the disturbance via the starship "Dragonbuster." Well, the only good thing from all of this is no Space Pirates to handle and battle against.

OOC: New story starts.... now.

???: "Dooooooooooood!"

Pie's terrifying storm barely had time to well into a maelstrom before a butcher knife hurled itself out of the kitchen and into the floor tiles at his feet. A purplish shape flew out of there at lightning speed, picked up the knife, and flounced upward and into the air. It was nothing more than a blur as it bounced along the ceiling and walls of the cafeteria, dodging to and fro between tables.

Whatever it was, it wasn't human.

"C'mon, dood! You're messin' up my cafeteria!"

It continued to bounce around the room, easily evading the lasers that Pie had fired outward. Each rocket from the alien's launcher met with a butcher knife that was hurled furiously fast, and retrieved just as quickly. Finally, it stopped, and waited for the dust to clear from Pie's ravaging. A pair of peg legs clunked on the floor tiles as it stepped forward, balancing by some completely unknown means.

It was short. It was fat. It was dead. Sort of.

In actuality, it looked a good bit like a penguin with peg-legs. A pair of tiny bat wings sprouted from its back, and it had a little pouch hanging around its waist. It placed its knife inside this pouch neatly, in spite of the pouch itself being much smaller than the knife. Its very chest was sewn to its neck via a series of fat, tough stitches. If anything, it looked Frankensteinian. Its gaze was completely empty, with two black holes for eyes that sat above a broad beak that served as its mouth. Two fat flippers held the pack gingerly, fingerless but still able to grip things very hard by some unknown means.

It was a Prinny. Its name was Axel. And it was very, very mad.

The doors flew open, and a moment later Pie stepped into the cafeteria. It was very bare inside, as well as with the rest of the complex; in fact, the only people he had spotted were Jack, Forte's group and a few other characters that he referred to as from 'The Letter H' continuity. Even Grey had disappeared without so much as a goodbye announcement. Though he really didn't care about anyone's well being, Pie's mission was made much more difficult with such incredibly slow activity, and something had to at least be said.

With a loud clash Pie kicked over some empty chairs, climbed over them and stepped onto a table. He held his arm to his side, fingers extended, and with a flash of light his cyber rod appeared in his grasp. He pointed this forward at the reploids, and shifted it over to the undead boy and the chef.

And Pie only continued to stare blankly from behind his visor. It had seemed like he was going to offer something to say, but his silence continued for what was beginning to seem like minutes. Jack had swiveled his chair around, and was regarding the armor-clad kid with mild interest as he sipped into a skull-shaped bottle filled with who knew what. Finally, Pie spoke in his strange electronic voice.

Pie >> We need more people.

Pie shifted his staff's aim around the room slowly again, resting it on each of those in the cafeteria.

"Freak," said Jack, turning his chair around again and resting against the counter. Pie had frozen completely still, but suddenly spoke again.

Pie >> We need activity to draw them.

The virus-infused warrior stared around for a few more moments, and then aiming his rod at a round table, launched a blue beam of electric cyber energy at its edge. With a bang, the table flipped into the air and crashed against more seats, trailing smoke and making a great mess. Pie quickly fired another beam at the next table, this time pulling it toward him and suspending it in midair like a grapple. He turned in his place, hovering slightly, and held it toward the reploids - he might have even smiled slightly as he cocked his head and launched it at them.

Pie >> Understand?

He didn't stop after that. Pie was bent on wrecking the cafeteria for some reason, and trying to get as many people caught in the mess as possible. Jack had disappeared without notice. The tables were floating on their own accord, perhaps being lifted telepathically, and were prancing around the room and slamming themselves against any of the few eaters they could find.

The crashes could be heard all around the complex, for Pie made sure they were amplified over the intercom, which he had hijacked. Over the loudspeaker, Pie's toneless voice echoed through all the halls of the building, and his head appeared on every television or computer screen - they were easy to take control of with no one to stop him, after all.

Pie >> Stop me. Destroy me. Stop me. Destroy me.

READY!

A beam of light shot down in the ruined city, and broke apart and revealed the familiar form of David clad in the Forte Armor. The Forte Armor is a new form that David has been creating for months, and today, he was taking it out on a test drive.

"David, do you read me? The virus signal is coming from deeper in the city. The highway is pretty damaged up from the virus, and most of the machines here have gone Maverick due to the viruses plaguing them. So be wary of taxis armed with weapons."

David sighed. This wasn't gonna be easy. He dashed down the ruined streets, avoiding several spawned viruses due to the Dimensional Barrier surrounding the entire city. Of course, he retaliated when some of them were provoked for attacking. He then spotted a nearby green taxi cab which was armed with a freaking large bazooka.

"Holy shit!" He narrowly dodged the shots fired, but the attacks did wipe out the mass army of Mets. He took it out with several placed Airburst shots, before dashing further.

"David, be careful, the area up ahead is very unstable. The highway can collapse at any moment so be on the lookout for any giveaways." David nodded and activated the Omnishoes option, and started floating in the air. As he made it half-way across the highway, it crumbled and fell into the ocean below. Glad he's floating. All of a sudden, several Flyer Pantheons suddenly appeared, and fired at him. David swerved left and right avoiding the plasma bullets, before retaliating with Shooting Buster. The one eyed Navis were quickly deleted, as he flew forward and soon landed on solid ground again.

"The maverick signal is getting stronger. It's up the statue." David looked up and performed the Triangular Jump, running up the wall of the building concealing off the site, which went active and began to close. He made it barely, and went through the door on the other end on top of the building.

"WARNING! WARNING!"

"David, this is weird. The maverick signal... its right before you! Watch out!" The statue head started to crumble as beams of light escaped. After more beams escaped, it went into a series of explosions that blinded him. When the blinding light faded away, the statue head before David transformed into Sonance. Also, the surrounding area, the blue sunny sky was replaced with dark ominous thunder clouds, which sported the occasional lightning flash and occasional thunder clap.

("Music" RockMan X5 - Boss Theme)

Lightning flashed throughout the area and thundered loudly, as Sonance opened her palms and a balls of small energy balls erupted from her hands. David ducked to the ground and evaded damage before she vanished. She reappeared, and swiped her cloak before her, releasing an energy wave and a gust of wind. David was clipped at the shoulder.

"Darkness Overload!" He flew forward, and before she vanished, she took the full impact of the attack, which knocked three-fourths of her health off the meter. She reappeared before she shoulder-tackled David, which immediately went into a combo frenzy of twenty-five punches that sent him dizzily into the air.

(Near Death Attack - Summons of the Past/Present/Future)

She vanished, and then appeared at the other end of the arena, which she created a holographic ball of light, and vanished. The first ball of light hitting the ground revealed the form of Schwa, which who attacked with Alpha Psibeam. David was struck down by the attack, unable to block its soul searching properties.

The clone vanished and a second ball of light revealed Grey. The clone pulled out a yo-yo, and thrusted it which smacked David in the forehead by surprise. Drawing the yo-yo back, he thrusted it forward and wrapped the toy around his right leg. Pulling back on the metal string, he tripped David onto his back, reeled it back into his hand, and struck a pose before vanishing.

A third ball of light revealed Kirbynite, who used the Star Rod and released several star shots. David instinctively lifted a LifeAura which absorbed the fifteen separate hits before the Dreamlander clone faded away.

The final ball of light appearing in the sky overhead David was Zekt. The scythe wielding reploid flew towards David and spun the scythe with all the blades deployed in a vertical fashion, which struck the LifeAura, and ripped through it before he vanished, but David was left unharmed.

After a bit, Sonance returned, and attacked with Nova Force. David countered the attack with EarthBreaker, both taking damage from the collided attacks. She vanished once more.

The first ball revealed Harpuia, who flew towards David and unleashed a storm of saber slashes, but David managed to block them with his summoned Dark Arm Blades. Harpy vanished, and Fefnir appeared behind him, and struck him with an arc of flames before vanishing. David narrowly avoided being beheaded by a dashing Phantom who sliced in an upwards arc with the katana. He vanished and then Leviathan appeared overhead and tried to stab him with her Ice Spear, and missed but managed to nail him when she swung her weapon upwards into him before vanishing. Sonance reappeared and the hologram dissipated.

(Near Death Attack 2 - Supernova)

She started to glow white as she begun to gather chaos energy into her hands, which thrusting it into the sky transformed into a small sun. She then grinning clenched her right hand into a tight ball, which caused the sun to explode and send out waves of flames in every direction. While David took the full brunt of the attack, she no longer glowed white.

Sonance reappeared a few distance away, and unleashed a wave of small energy balls. David ducked to avoid the attacks, and when she flew towards him, he passed through her, his weapons cutting through her, finishing her off. She flashed a few times before the skies instantly became bright, and she begun to explode, the music suddenly ending. The area became bright as the explosions ranged on faster and louder before a final explosive boom ended it, and the area dimmed. She was no-where in sight.

"Uh... Alia, you DO know that a few people I know are gonna complain about this, right?" The surrounding area glowed brightly before turning black with scan-lines and then turned white.

* * *

David exited the Training Area, and walked up behind his wife. "David... I know certain people are gonna wonder why but...”

David gave her a puzzled look. "But?"

"Schwa is a good friend plus he basically knows Forte isn't all that evil as he was in the past. Grey, well, he's a good guy who works like a businessman and is nice. Kirbynite, who I know through the good 'ol internet, is a fun guy to hang around with once you get to know the Dreamlander. And Zekt was that one guy who you guys couldn't beat except for Marino."

David slapped his hand over his face and sighed. "But still... You should erase the data of them from the Training Bay Area if they complain. Oh, and next time, up the AI level on that boss character. I didn't take hardly enough damage counters."

David brought his arms up as Alia threw a stuffed Moogle at him. He laughed and made his exit. She only smiled and said, "Whatever sweetheart..."

*kzzt*

*kzzt*

A light flickered. There was a slight nudge of a hanging, conical ceiling light in Grey's office, dimly lit and fading fast. Grey rocked in his chair, dozing but aware of his surroundings.

The light swung back and forth hypnotically, like a pendulum detailing the ticks of time itself.

Grey had been doing some thinking lately. There had been little reason for him to take up the sword. It seemed almost as though there were a new generation of fighters, and that he was nothing more than a vestige of the past. He liked it that way, one for the history books. Nothing more than a referee, now. Hardly a true warrior.

Janus had been missing for some time now. There was no use beating around the bush, referring to him as "that man" anymore. He had returned, and failed to impact. Another lost conclusion, another break in the tale.

Kalar and Garro had gone off somewhere, and left Grey behind to deal with what little was left of their legacy.

Evan, too, had disappeared, and Miller never showed up on the radar at all, anymore... Another pair of heroes lost forever in the sands of time, he thought.

There was, however, a piece of paper in Grey's hand. It had elegant, well-written language on it, the words of a man who still held a place in this world. It read...

"Dearest Grey,

How are you doing, my friend? I am well, though the desert sands do occasionally drive me to frustration. It has long since passed that you have contacted me. I wish to know, is there something the matter? I fear that you have yet to even receive my last letter, save this one for a secondary purpose. We two are all that remain, and your departure would surely be a devastating blow. I have neither seen nor heard word from any of my elder friends in quite some time, making you my very last contact with the past."

There was a slam of a door, and the dim light faded, casting one last ray of light over an empty chair.

"Alas, that too is fading fast. Have you seen anything of the old group lately, yourself? The tower of our friend Origin lays in ruins. That swordsman, Star, has driven himself to eternal seclusion. Even the good prince Schwa has had no way to return home. And Yiusi, poor Yiusi..."

Grey's footsteps echoed in the hall, as he left the Sim Battle Arena Annex for what he knew would be the last time.

"The ninja, Jarukoth, and his compatriots have not been seen for some time, either. I remember your friendship with them, the lady Kari to be most prominent. What a shame, that nothing ever came of it."

He entered the Acmlm's Board Building, bidding hello to the front desk clerk and pushing his glasses up his nose. He ruffled his vest, straightening it.

"President Melvin has retreated into Japan, yet again. Oh, for the wont of that force field to fall, and for him to bring himself to commune with us again... It would be a pleasure, even with the wonton destruction he would doubtless wring."

Grey trudged up the stairs, flight after flight after flight. Three, four, five, ten floors he trudged up. He skipped, from floor 98 to floor 100, remembering to tell no one about the 99th.

"Even the return of Skydude was nothing more than a setup for disaster. His attitude was not one of the modern age. We warriors must adapt to the new ways. We must change our mindset, knowing that there will never be a golden age forever. Such is the nature of change, such is the nature of time."

The final floor was crossed. The rooftop... No one paused to stop him.

"I am, however, happy where I am. I have found someone; She is a good woman, and I am glad to serve her. She has spirit; I feel she is a heroine to be admired."

Grey opened the door, and crossed the roof tiles, gradually passing the many air vents and skylights that were built in.

"Your other has given me word, as well. He says that though he has been weakened by recent events, his exploits continue to satisfy him to no end, and he is glad to travel with the old masters. I am sure, quite sure, that now would be A Fine Time For Some Serious Business. He would be glad to tell you that himself, but he has said something of there being far too long a distance between us to explain."

He approached the edge of the roof. It was a long, long way down. Grey swallowed.

"But I digress. We are in contact. Perhaps now is the dawn of a new age. Perhaps it is again time to cast off the vestaments of the past, and prepare for a new future. It is sparse, to be sure, but the barest canvas can often give enough room for the greatest masterpieces."

A tear welled up in his eyes, which glowed green ever so briefly before fading away.

"And who knows... Maybe a new journey will begin for you too, sir. I, of course, cannot predict this. Take not my words as canon."

Canon... Grey considered this. Was any of it worth anything? Where had all the magic gone? He sighed, stepping closer to the brink.

"Ah, it is time for me to go. I give you my regards, sir."

In the morning, they would find no trace of him, on the ground or on the roof. His office, bare. His chair empty. Grey raised the letter above his head, and a breeze blew it from his hand into the open air.

"Sincerely,"

A new journey... Maybe. He could do nothing for the world from an office chair.

"Johnathan."
