No, the level came out fine. besides, it was because another mouse's batteries died, so I was forced to give mine up for a bit. that's okaty though, I went from a trackball mouse (crappy one), to a laser mouse with scroll wheel, USB. It was all good in the end.

NumKeys is quite helpful in situations like that.

You must've been pretty bored to do that. I assume you at least did go back and fix what you weren't satisfied with with the mouse, right?

iMacs in general suck. See my school's computer lab.

On iMac's it's crazy. You can do what danielle said.. and you can scroll sideways too. But it's strange... if you try to scroll with one finger... it won't work.. you have to use two. Even if you squish your fingers as close as you can together... the computer can tell the difference between using one or two fingers. And I mean squishing your fingers together to the point where they could form one giant fingerprint. No matter how hard you try.... you can't squish your fingers together enough to trick the computer.

Yes yes... hours of entertainment.

Yes. Yes it is.

I love that too.

On my laptop, it's a touchpad scrolly thing, to the right of the actual touchpad thing.
It doesn't work very well. It makes me sad.

We may never know. (Unless someone does... seriously, I have no idea.)

My sister never uses a mouse. I'd probably implode if I didn't have my mouse. It has "back" and "foward" buttons on the side so I can browse from page to page easily... and it has this button that brings up all the windows you're running and you can click any one from wherever your mouse is (you don't have to go to the bottom..). It's more of a luxary than a necessity though. And I absolutely love scrolling with the scrolly rolly button. It's yummy.

I generally don't like keyboards. I wish I didn't have to type with one. I wish I could just talk out loud and have it come up as text... or something like that. Or like.... write it on a pad and have it transpose itself into text. That would put more meaning into posts.... because you'd have to think alot more before you wrote it all time. Cause me writing this post out... would take probably ten times as long. So, planning would improve? Maybe.

Random thoughts.

Yech. Touchpads sucks, IMHO. Luckily we have mice for our computers in school. Took a while for them to arrive when we first got the computers when I started there.

I love the scroll wheel on my mouse.

I agree that the scroll bar is more precision than the arrows, wheel and page keys, but I personally only use it over great distances. I guess it's just that "right brained VS. left brained" stuff.

I actually prefer the precision of the scrollbar. I can put text exactly where I want it quite quickly, instead of hitting page up/down and then making further adjustments with the arrow keys.

Better than both, though, is the mousewheel. Man do I ever wish I had a mousewheel style thing on this laptop...

And scrolling. Don't forget the ease of pressing PageUp or PageDown instead of having to screw with the scrollbar.

Using the keyboard to pick a link is a pain. However I do use a lot of keyboard shortcuts, and tend to scroll using the arrow keys.

Shift+Tab. Scrolls backwards through the links.

I actually browsed this thread using the tab key. First time for me.

Watch I subconsciously use my mouse in the next 2 minutes and fail at this thread.
