The only important things that should of possibly moved were:

1. Username
2. Password
3. Regdate?
4. Layout
5. State location and such.

it could of been simple to even just move 1,2,4 and anunce that people have to redo other things.

Posts: 42/1860		 and the other thing is, the board regressed in version... meaning that certain fields no longer exist as well as how things were organized are no longer organized like before. Because redividing data is such a pain, it is easier to have people register. Plus, it prunes the board's database by getting rid of people who 99% will not be coming back.

Actually, that's not the case. Restoring all the data is bothering and takes a while though (especially considering how big this board is).
