Romhacking.net is down, I don't know what's going on, it went down sometime last night.
Here's an alternate site with a good newbie tutorial: http://www.romhacks.net/ You don't need YY-CHR, I just recommend it, if you're using their tutorial for graphics I suggest you use TLP like they do so you don't get confused. You can also get YY-CHR from Yy's page. Edit: Hope you see this... |

Thanx, I'll try those.
EDIT- The YY-CHR link doesn't work |

Read this tutorial first: http://romhacking.deadbeat-inc.com/?page=start
Your first hex editor should be WindHex32, it's a simple-to-use but feature-loaded program, it's all you'll need for a long time. Instead of Tile Layer Pro use YY-CHR, it's much better in just about every way (It does lack SNES 3BPP mode, but that shouldn't be a problem for you, since you want to hack a GBA game) |

I was wondering if there are hex editors capable of importing.exporting sprites and editing tex in FFTA, I'm not quite sure how hex works, so I'm sorry if this is a stupid question |
