Gah. I hate those days when I´m completely braindead.
But yes, your name is elegant. |

Originally posted by Grey Why? Seriously. Why? I would change my name from William to something else... That would stop my friends from calling me William-not-Bill... ... Well, that'd be one of the reasons. The other reasons are being called Bill, Billy, Willy and Will. Usually there is an adjective before it as well such as "Proffessor Willy" in Pre-Calculus... ...at leasts it beats my friend whose last name is Monday, because we all know "Everyone hates Monday." Well, we call him what day of the week it is... |

I gotta a hyphenated last name, so I think I'd probably just change it to one of them. |

My name is pretty good... but if anything, I'd change my first name to my username. |

I'm not sure why, but I feel like the name 'Cody'. It just sounds... awesome.

Grey I could so say something about the name William but I don't want to get smacked like Millenia set himself up for. |

I would want to be named William. Not Bill, Will.
"Grey" as a person, I've thought of giving a last name to... Or using it as a last name. Thomas Grey? It sounds kinda elegant. William Grey as a pen name would be sweet, though. I think it's been done. |

Rydain Darkstar is, essentially, a second name for me. I've been Rydain for 11 years, and it fits so well that none of the other handles I tried on can ever replace it. I would take it legally if I hated my birth name. But I don't. My birth name is different and rather elegant and it flows, and it fits me. It would be spiffy to have Rydain as a legal alias, but I don't think you can do that.
One of my friends went through with a name change not too long ago. He had to make an announcement in the paper (I forget exactly why, but it was a requirement) and go before a judge. We had all been calling him by his chosen name for the past several years, so it didn't require any adjustment on our part. |
