Eh. Really, don't let them bitch about it as the chance to get caught is 1%. Hell, even my mom plays ROMs sometimes. |

This is really a big fuss over nothing. If you feel bad about downloading roms, then don't. It's that simple. btw, if it wasn't for caffiene, I'd have turned out to be yet another conformist robot adhering to the strict code of society. |

Can't help but point out drunk driving stats of the US vs. most (if not all) of Europe...where'd I describe the drinking laws as "logical." By the time kids reach driving age, they've already had enough contact with al-key-hall that they're not stupid about it as often as Americans. *cuts self off before becoming long-winded* See Penn & Teller's Bullshit! episode about the War on Drugs for more.
As far as ROMs are concerned...why sweat? certainly at to the point that you have? And...more interestingly...why do they shreik "Shenanigans!" over the old games that've been out of production for *years*? I mean, seriously...they've no room to bitch; they haven't been making money on some of these games since the mid-late 80's, yet they still get upset? What if somebody didn't download the ROMs they have? And...on that note...where might I find/buy a copier, so as to rip m' own ROMs? or perhaps a schematic diagram of one so that I could build it? |

But at 18 you're no longer a child in the eyes of the law. And around 20 you're about at your peak physically (you could say you don't grow any more from that point -- you just age) -- yet both are "underage"
And speaking of toxins... I don't hear people screaming about serving caffeine to minors. *disclaimer: I don't really care about the points I'm making above -- I'm just arguing to argue -- playing devils advocate. |

"Downloading ROMs a crime?", from the makers of:
"Breathing, a necessity??" Stay tuned at 10:00 PM to find out. This thread is idiotic. I was hoping somewhere someone was going to tell us all it was just a joke.. Actually, Pong (the arcade original at least) CANNOT be downloaded since it doesn't have roms. So replace that with Pac-Man and your statement's good. |

There are too many ROM's on too many computers for the goverment to do anything about. Like they'll bust down my door for downloading an N64 game...
Besides, 60-80 percent of all Americans don't even know what ROM's are. I would probably warrent a $10,000 penalty with all this crap on my computer. But, meh. |

Ah, yes. The Pirate Party. I´ve only heard about them so far. Sounds like nice guys.
I think I´ll vote for them. |

So we're OK with underage drinking, slave labor and ripping tags off matresses, but roms are bad.
Nice to know our priorities are straight. |

Originally posted by Ran-chan + QFE. The people who enforce this law have better things to worry about than some small-time ROM downloader. What, so now we should be encouraging the children to drink? |
