Cut-rate generic advice: Do you know where the game stores Link's palette in RAM? If so, set up a write breakpoint on that register, then when you cast a spell, see if you can find the code that changes it to green. Search for that string in the ROM, and hopefully, you'll do it.

With help from Mega-Dog, I was able to edit the palette of Link in Zelda II. It's now a blue instead of the regular green. But when I cast a spell it reverts to the original colors. I've changed every occorance of the original colors. So where is it pulling the colors from? Anyone that has had troubles like this please tell me any way to rid of it.
