Play my GBA - I keep it right next to the monitor anyway. I also do this while my Rogue's HP regenerates in RO, since that tends to take a while and I don't carry potions with me very often.

You must like playing your GBA with lots of little breaks or something. I've never played a character in RO where regen has taken longer than a minute, I use healing items most of the time though. :/

1 Vit (99+15 or so Agi, though), HP carded items (for general purpose levelling, worked well enough) and me being a cheap bastard meant that my regen was quite slow and I didn't keep healing items around to hasten it. So, regenerating about 6,000 HP at about what rate, 50-100 every five seconds? Slow. =/

Taking at least 5 minutes to regen all your HP seems like a reason to have not gotten as much Agi and gotten more Vit. You realize also, using healing items helps you level faster and kill monsters more quickly (you don't have to wait between kills!), and somewhere along the line depending on how good your character is and what kind of monsters you're killing, you'll start making money as opposed to losing it.

Another strategy is to hunt/level in areas that drop healing items at high rates, such as Magma Dungeon.

During long patches, I usually get food or something. Most patches, I just fire up some music and stare blankly at the percent bar.

I go play my NES, for some reason. I must like playing oldskool while I wait. Like Super Mario Bros. , Legend of Zelda, and Metriod. =/

I normally don't have to wait for an online game to patch because someone else near me always does it first. However, if I do have to do it myself I'll just watch some TV or something like that while I wait.

I play FFXI on PS2, that may help.

If one didn't crash while I opened the other, this would be my answer

I remember one time I was waiting for ET to download all the hackpacks from the server and it was taking a looong time. I watched for a while. Went down. Got a snack. Brought it upstairs and started staring at the thing again. I'm so ashamed...

Every month my mom orders some new puzzle game off Popcap for her comp, and eventually she harasses me enough to install them on mine... Bejeweled has saved my life more than once

Lie down on my bed and go to sleep for a bit but the loading doesn't take long on my machine. 3-5 minutes at max.

Not much. The games I mess around with usually don't have large patches, and I have DSL, so... :\

Now, if I had something like WoW, I'd probably watch TV or play my DS. I've heard stories about THOSE wait times...
