Originally posted by Chronosphere-x Sorry, but thats impossible. If you're on about removing vocals from a song, theres no way you can do it, unless you have the original source recordings, theres no way to extract a certain part of audio without significant loss of sound in a downmixed track. |

I've have a go with audicity. are there any programs that can split mp3s up. I want the music to afternoon delight, but no lyrics. |

Audacity.
It's free, its a small download, and its full of effects and editing tools. Also has VST plugins. You can record and layer multiple tracks, and theres an equalizer. Oh, and its easy to use too. For myself...I just stick to using FL Studio...ive become kinda attactched to it. And version 6 is awesome. |

Yeah, Goldwave. I have that for recording, it's pretty good. As for adding music in the background with it.. I don't really know. |

Goldwave is a good program on a limited license. |

If you have a microphone, then Sound Recorder is pretty much the only thing you need. Just hit Record and start singing. Note that it only records up to 60 seconds at first, but you can counter that by recording a while, then using "decrease speed" several times. |
