You're almost as bad as Gabe.

hahaha. Jamiroquai.

I'd laugh if he turned up in a game as a boss.

Hmm I can think of a few times. I remember leaving midgar in FF7 when you have the motorbike chase, which was very ‘whoa’ worthy. Also just the whole of the game when I was playing Metal Gear Solid for the first time, it was just brilliant and a massive jump from anything I had played in the past and you could even say there isn’t a game in that genre that has ever done better then that one. I would say one scene that made me go ‘Whoa’ more then any other in MGS would be fighting Metal Gear.

Pokémon Blue: I remember that I was like "Whoa. I beat it." when I managed to kicki Gary's ass all the time. I think I got a little bit hyper because I was so happy I beat it back then.

FF7: Still hasn´t finished it. I didn´t cry when Aeris died either because I already KNEW she was going to die. I also was "whoa" like when RedXIII got to nkow the truth about his father.

Phantasy Star IV: I got quite shocked when Alys got hurt and later died. That made me quite sad and even more purposeful to beat the game.

Hmm... I have a few.

When playing Super Mario All-Stars, right after I beat World 8 in the Lost Levels, when I saw World 9, I said "Whoa"!

The first time I played MK: Double Dash being shot out of a cannon and flying almost 200 mph was awesome but that was the first time. Same thing for MK: DS in Waluigi Pinball and Airship Fortress.

When I kept on betting 1,000,000 dollars in Blackjack imside one of the Casinos of GTA San Andreas, I kept on winning and earned a lot of money.

Legend of Zelda OoT, when getting out of the Temple of Time once you become adult and when I saw what happened to the market made me say "whoa". I didn't even realize there was any Redeads there until they attacked me offguard.

On SSBM, I beat event 51 with Fox without losing a life. "Whoa."

On Halo, the second snow mission (forget the name) I made three Grunts do a whole scene with me. This would be something you would see in Red vs Blue, but was actually NOT planned.
There is the part with the crashed Warthog right before you have to go up the path to the cliff. I got into the Warthog and tried to direct it to the pathway. Little did I know that three Grunts were at the top of the cliff. One threw a grenade at my windshield. I got out and it damaged me big time. I was on my feet and looked up at the top of the cliff. I got mad and threw a plasma grenade up there. Missed... big time. One of the Grunts went to laugh at me, but he took a slip, fell down the cliffside, and died. Another Grunt laughed and said "Oops." I was thinking "Whoa. That Grunt pushed him off..."
Needless to say, I ran the other two Grunts off the cliff. Good times... good times...

That dumb part in Resident Evil 2 where the Licker crashes through the interrogation room window.

Still scares me every time I play it even when I'm expecting it.

When I beat the Korea team in King of Fighters '96. Hardest team to beat ever, hands down. I played against them last night until 4:00 also. And shut the game off in anger. But I finally beat them! Now I just gotta beat the rest of the game...

First time I played RE4 and realized I didnt have to turn and then walk I was like "WOAH!"

FF7..that game was just amazing. I didnt cry when Aries died I was just extremly upset. I leveled her up alot because I enjoyed her healing me

God of War, just ripping people in half like it was nothing. Also the cutscenes, especially the War cutscenes those were just amazing.

Lets see what else, of Halo for sure. When ever I pull of a Killtacular online with like a Skull, that always "WOAHs" me.

Smash Bros Melee, when it seems like someone else is playing for you and you pretty much feel like a God.

Man I love Melee!

The original Tomb Raider. I'm so good at that game, I have every moved pre-planned and the "whoa" factor of playing that game is still there. It was my frist game on the Playstation to.

My second game on the Playstation was Final Fantasy 7. That had several "whoa" kickass moments to it. The first time I beat the game, I still remember the date.. December 6th.. some obscure late 90's year.. hahah. But, I remembered I just pwned the last boss after like weeks of trying to beat him. I finally did it.. and I was like SOO flipping out happy.

God Of War.. had alot of WOAH moments. The trials of Hades. The Sirens. The last battle wasn't a whoa moment.. it was actually dissapointing to me because I just kicked his ass to a point where it was pathetic. But I'd say the Sirens were woah. And that huge boss where you have to straddle his back and like pull the ropes. That was woah in itself.

Resident Evil 4 was one of the most amazing gaming experiences though. I'm playing it a second time right now.. it was so damn good. Every second of that game is a "woah" moment. The gameplay was the best in any resident evil ever.. and it's a joy to just walk around. You feel like you're there. When the chainsaw guys come after you.. I screamed every time. I think it's because I'm scared of chainsaws... but whatever. Still scary as HELL.

In Zelda: A link to the past.. the first time I entered the Dark World. I was absolutely amazing. I didn't really know what to do so I kind of just wandered around and killed baddies and put my sword to the bushes. I think that's my absolute favorite game of all time.. Link to the past. My best gaming memories are with this game and with FF7. I was younger when I played them to.

Oh, and Harvest Moon. You definatly feel in control with that game. Years of my life have probably gone to the original Harvest Moon on the N64. Me and my sister used to pull all nighters playing that game.

I want to play it right now actually. Adios.

More whoa moments: Beating 15 Minute Melee (SSBM)
Beating 3 Level 9 characters with 10 lives each
Crazy Hand Trophy (the getting of it)

The first time I beat Sephiroth on Kingdom Hearts without using items. Easier than I thought... but was amazed that I did it...

I was Kirby on SSBM against a Level 9 Yoshi by myself. He used Egg Roll and tried to hit me. I actually used R + Down to dodge every time he turned around in the egg. Missed every time.

The first time playing DDR. Why shouldn't you say "Whoa!"?

Tetris Attack on the SNES. Actually owned the game. Played it so well that one time I was trying to do a huge combo when I tried to clear just three blocks... pressed the buttons too fast and made the block touch the other two of its kind and move back to where it was without clearing it. Could only do it on an emulator afterwords...

And the first time I figured out that the Bazooka on Worms Armageddon actually could bounce on water was a "Whoa." moment for me. I never knew that...

And playing Wario Ware Twisted brought on "Whoa" moments for everyone around me... I wasn't going whoa, just everyone watching me play it...

There are those times in Melee when you can read people's minds, it seems, and you pull off everything just perfectly--SPIKE, down they go. I think someone said that already, but...

Ohhhhh, man, do I love spike-KO'ing people in Melee.

Obtaining all the Chaos Emeralds on Sonic and Knuckles. Hypersonic was awesome but a tad too touchy.

Also on Final Fight 3 where I accidently performed a super attack with Dean. The background turned dark, he jumped in the air, caused some lightning (?) to come up and he did a combination of killer moves.

Oh hell yes. I still own that game and played it quite regularly up until my SNES stopped working a few months ago. I never really got very good at it, though. =(

Heh, yeah, I've had games where my health bar was at zero and I'd still be running around looking for a powerup. In some cases I actually took a fatal blow, but it didn't count because I'd just defeated the boss a millisecond prior. Similarly, crossing the finish line a millimeter ahead of someone in Mario Kart and having a red/blue shell obliterate me the second the game registers me as having placed first.

Or in some games, me and the enemy both being killed at the same time, and me having to do the level over again. That's annoying. Even worse when I kill them first, but it still counts me as being dead. The hell with realism, I kicked his ass, send me to the next level.

Anyway, game events that made me go "whoa":
-The first time I played Mario Kart 64. First track I played was Rainbow Road, because some guy on TV said I should. It was the first 3D game I ever played and until Mario 64 (the second 3D game I ever played), I was convinced that no game could possibly kick any more ass.
-The first time I played Mario 64. That game just blew my mind with how awesome it was. (It still is, but it's really only fun the first time when you don't know what to expect.) It wasn't a game, it was an experience. I wish I could just erase all memory I have of that game, and experience playing it again for the first time. Diddy Kong Racing did the same to a far lesser extent (and was the first N64 game I ever owned - I rented the others) but nothing, not even OoT, has yet made such an awesome first impression. (Though OoT is better overall. )
-Entering the adult market in OoT for the first time.
-The first time I played Super Mario Bros 3 on SMAS. I nearly shit myself when I saw such amazing graphics (compared to the NES I owned).

Also, pretty much every second of F-Zero X makes me go "whoa", but not in the same way.

Heh, I saw that run. Not bad, either.

I just remembered another one. Going into the dark world for the first time in Zelda 3. Another one I remember distinctively was the final mission in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. That was a very fun mission.
