Still love it. The closet bit always cracks me up for some odd reason, and the part where it "rains" and the punk band seems the best to me. Music wise, that is. |

salty. the new one's better because it doesn't feed you the narrative. |

That was awesome. The scenes really dragged out, though. For any future viewers, I suggest you watch it in FCEU and skip through a part after it repeats three or four times, because it's usually a twenty-or-so loop and then something actually happens. |

Thank you for reminding me I had this thing, from a film maker's perspective, I think it's fucking BRILLIANT! This whole thing is such a trip on so many levels, and of course it's glitchy, that's the point. Summerized by the line "You've been in someone's closet for twenty years, of coure data is melting." I think it's means a lot more than just someone neglecting a SMB1 cart for a long time though, there's definately some things about your soul and fate intertwined in there. Then again, maybe I just smoke too much pot and look at too many Salvador Dali paintings. |

The music is just very PAINFUL to listen to...and it's pretty glitchy.
The concept is cool ...but it's very disappointing...i stopped watching after the first couple of minutes. |

this rules. these people took super mario bros 1 and twisted it into a 15-minute movie.
i'm not sure whether they programmed it from scratch and copied the graphics table or just programmed over the original code, but it rules. i think it'd be interesting for more people to do stuff like this. i don't suppose it's in the tradition of rom hacking for the sake of making a new game, but it goes to show that there's more that you can do within the limitations of nes hardware. there's a link to the source code somewhere in that link, but you can just download the movie (in .nes format, to be played on an emulator) here. IT'S OUT OF CONTROL!!!!!! |
