Posts: 298/2028		 EggVine isn't hard. It's just different. Unfortunately, you have to do a little something called *learning* in order to use it. Experiment with it, play with all the sprites and stuff, and see what happens. Eventually you'll understand things

For the record, I find Egg Vine a truly nifty little program that would completely meet all my SMW2 hacking needs... if I had any. Someday I gotta put together a level hack for the game, but for now, I'm content with working slowly on JAMH.

Posts: 90/153		 I was able to make a full hack of SMW2 with that editor, so you just need a lot of patience and effort and you can make something good out of it. If you have any questions at all you can ask me via PM since I'm pretty much the only person who can help you with this. I could use another SMW2 hacking "client" .

Posts: 498/4077		 Actually, ROM Hacking in general is rather difficult without a good editor. It's very possible, but it is a lot slower. Really only a difference when there are multiple editors available for a game. EggVine is all you've got for hacking SMW2 though (and Squash probably isn't going to update it), so either live with it or don't bother with SMW2.
