Yeah, but it doesn't appear to change over the course of five minutes. It's a bit different at the very end, if I recall correctly. So it's like, four minutes of one thing, one minute of another. If it's changing the whole way through, the video quality is too poor to tell.

You can't see the garbage dancing around on the screen?

Because it means you subjected us to a five-minute movie that doesn't appear to do anything interesting. You say it does do interesting stuff, but it's impossible to tell in the recording we can watch. So the fact that actually looking at the DS was more interesting than watching the recording of it is not a valid excuse for giving us five solid minutes of the boring recording.

You might think the movie really bugged me, given how much I've bothered to write, but it is not the case. I don't really care. ;o I just figured I'd explain the "not a valid excuse" comment.

Great, if I had such a codec.

And how is not having any other recording method not a valid excuse?

About 2 minutes in VirtualDubMod using the "Divx Portable" codec compressing the video at about 128kbps yielded me a 5meg file that looked identical to the origional.

One problem with that. It's kind of hard to notice with that lousy method of recording you used. Even if it was the only one available, that still isn't a valid excuse.

That video could be compressed down to 5mb with little to no effort.

Explain. None of the methods I used could get it nearly that small.

And even then, he could only need to show a few seconds of it. It's basically repeating itself after awhile.

Just saw the video, and I can only say...well, that was...drawn out more than it needed to be. I heard that screwed up music myself several times before, though. Sometimes when using a Gameshark; however, I found out recentky that you can manually cause this to happen by gently lifting the game out of the slot, though.

This wasn't worth 50MB. Or even 50 bytes.

Cheating is not really related to what I was trying to do. I was just experimenting to see what I could do with the GBA GS hardware on a DS. Apparently, booting it in GBA mode without the Nintendo logo being messed is one thing.

Yeah, I had Xvid at my computer so the Mediaplayer could play it.

And go through games with cheats isnīt fun.

Eh, it looked a lot better actually seeing it on the screen.
Xk: Most of the time when games crash on me, they just make some ear-splitting tone or freeze entirely, or the music keeps playing.

I didn't make it do this. It just crashed. Besides, I have Gameshark, if my saves got wiped out I can just go through the game again with cheats.

Bah. Winamp canīt play it.
It's XviD, which shouldn't be too hard to find.

Wtf, how can it go slower to download it in my apartment when Iīve a slower internet connection in school?

Iīll edit this when Iīve seen it.

Edit: Well, I didnīt really find this as interesting as I thought I would.

Yea...

I already DL'd KOF 2002 on my 2K/sec 56K connect already. I think I'm done with big rig DLs for today.

I noticed that most games crash like this.

With that kind of music, even. I got CotM to make its own techno beat once.

Yeah, I forgot to mention. I zipped it and it came out... 50MB. Video compression is a bitch.

This had better be worth 50 megs. Couldn't it be compressed??

edit: I guess the other decent-quality compressed videos I have are a little under 10 megs a minute. never noticed before. Guess it's just a slower download then most

edit2: okay but I don't really get why that had to go on for five minutes?????
