I'll smoke the occasional clove or joint, but it's not sexy.

A girl smoking weed (as long as it's a very occasional thing, I'm against people being potheads) is okay.
A girl smoking a cig is a turn off for me.

Oof. Actually, yeah a new law just passed in our city (and has been passed around cities close to here and whatnot). People can no longer smoke in public, restaurants and everything. Now its pretty much just only possible to smoke at their homes or whatever.

Expect that the smoke from a campfire isn't nearly unhealthy as cigarette smoke. Even standing next to someone smoking is probably more unhealthy than standing next to a campfire.

Also smoking is a rather femine thing nowadays, males takes snuff instead. While disgusting, they don't at least smell horrible. Heavy smokers smells disgusting, even when they don't smoke. And they turn "old" early on as well.

Smoking is not easy to quite, but it's probably easier to stop smoking than losing 50 KG of weight.

The word is "homicide." Saying "homocide" makes you sound like a redneck homophobic ass =P

*edit* didn't intend to bash you there, that was just the least graphic way I could think to describe the image that the misspelling put into my head *end edit*

As someone who has smoked every day... and who has very successfully quit... I can say that if you really want to quit you can. It may be a lot harder for some people than it was for me... but it's certainly nothing like alcoholism or a heroin addiction.
I think a big problem is people deciding to step it down or use gum or what have you. The best way is to just go cold turkey and get it over with. Unless you're unstable and have 36 ulcers and a horrible job... I think you can handle it if you really try.

If one integrated all the marginal, seemingly harmless--to a good deal of people at least, seeing as smoking is still legal--effects on society that a smoker effects, then a good number of people would be guilty of crimes as severe as homicide. Sadly, one cannot be convicted of the murderer of 1.32523 people. Yet.

Umm. If you smoke, you are a smoker. I don't care if it's three packs a day, or one pack every three days, or whatever - you smoke cigarettes, you are a smoker by definition. It's not an insult (save for any undesired connotations it might carry), it's just a description.

...not quite.

smoking is not easy to quit and people who haven't done it can't understand the difficulties, which is why they have no room, nor right to speak against people who do smoke.
You talk about it as if it's a habit you're born with. If a person who smokes was somehow born addicted to nicotine, then you'd be crazy to hold it against him. But, of course, becoming addicted in the first place is a fully conscious choice.

As far as I'm concerned, I don't do it and never will. If you want to do it, go ahead, but if I care about you at all I will badger you until you stop. I've seen cancer, and it's not fun, and I don't need a loved one dying at 35. Even if it means I have to be a nasty bastard to make someone quit - that's better than the alternative.

Bah; I smoke, and my teeth and belongings are as purty and white as ever. Nor do I smell like ash.
(Weel, if you count a pack a month as a smoker, that is )

no. that doesn't count. and if anyone does hold that against you and call you a smoker, they are an up-tight ass, probably more straight edge than your grandmother as well. some people smoke a cigarette very rarely during high points of stress.

I've grown up with practically my entire family smoking (though my mom has always done a good job of keeping it out of the house and whatnot). Everyone at my work smokes, then again its just us guys (car shop, so what do you expect).

I don't know. I think I'd rather date a girl who didn't smoke, but if I found out they did, it really wouldn't bother me too much. When I went through High School, I couldn't even begin to count how many girls talked about smoking and stuff. Maybe I was just always listening in on the wrong crowd, or something?

Sexy though? I have no idea how it could be sexy. If its something I'll initially see, it could be a slight turn off, but in the end I doupt it'd completely change my opinion on someone. Though, if I were dating a girl who smoked I could see myself trying to get her to quit.
(and I'd imagine that could piss some people off, but oh well).

I just went ahead and voted no.

I'm perfectly happy to tolerate people smoking around me, but I can't say that it's my cup of tea. Then again, my parents are both heavy smokers and 20 years of hearing my father's smoker's cough has pretty much turned me off smoking for life. I don't care much for the smell of smoked clothes (Which really bugs me when I borrow a Jumper of my dad's or something) much either.

So, if I was looking for a sexy someone, I'd say that it'd be more of a turn off than a turn on.

No. I think it's gross. On the other hand, if a girl will put a burning cancerous tube in her mouth, she'll probably put anything in her mouth.

I don't find smoking sexy or not, it doesn't really bother me or entice me at all, probably because I smoke anyways, I suppose.

mmmm cancer.

I get kinda sad when I see my friends smoking. Inside, I know that it is not my decision, but still... I feel like they are... well... "destroying" themselves. And that's just... I have a hard time accepting it.

And I even think that I'm a potential smoker as in it wouldn't take much to get me addicted. My mom's been smoking my entire life.

But yeah, if old people smoke, I don't really care, but I get sad and disgusted when I see people at my own age smoking.

I hate the smell of smoke. I would hate having to touch the lips that touched a burning dry leaf of tobacco.

While I appreciate your attempt to add content to the thread, and I'll keep it open as a result (who knows, maybe it'll churn up some more discussion), this thread has been bumped before, and it's been ten months since anyone last posted in it. You're on the right track here, but it's just like your other bumps otherwise.

I used to smoke (the only reason i did was to piss my father off) its nasty, and it made me have a problem breathing, its is a real turn-off, i don't see what the whole point of smokin is, but do what you want, i don't like it, and not a lot of people do.
This is a long thread. Click here to view it.
