I spent ages fumbling around with the keys trying to move the doorways...this was before the days when i realised help files actually had a use though.. LOL. good luck with your work MO. |

Thanks a lot for your sugestions (I thought for sure everyone would treat me like a newbie) but holding down the "Fn" key works fine for me the doors seem to be the only thing that uses the Numberpad anyways.
Again thanks a lot MathOnNapkins now I can finally get somewhere in Hyrule Castle. |

Circuit City also tends to carry the detachable numpads. |

You could just get a full-sized keyboard and hook it up. That's what I always do |

You can buy USB numpads. Unfortunately the only place I've seen one (Radio Shack ) wants FIFTY DOLLARS for them. |

....*smacks himself in the head*....
I can't belive I didn't think of that... But now that I think about it I have a lap-top using the numberpad will be tricky.. O well... But thanks... thanks a lot. |

To move a door you must select it, then use the number keypad arrows (not the normal arrow keys). Numpad-8 and Numpad-2 affect the direction of the door. Numpad-4 and Numpad-6 effect the position, which is one of 12 preset locations, which varies depending upon the direction of the door. Not sure if numlock has to be on or anything, but for what it's worth, my numlock is on and it works fine. |

Like the title says I've been working on a Zelda 3 rom hack for at least half a year and I've now moved to the indoor sections and they're apparently more difficult than it is outside. But what I want to know (please don't treat me like a noob if I'm just missing an obvious solution) is how do you move created or existing door because apparently once a door is in place it is there for life and the best I can get out of the help file (yes I read it so don't ask me if I did) is to move it with the arrow keys witch don't work. So help me out here am I missing something, is it a glitch in the editor, or do I need a new editor all together. So some help would be appreciated and look at it this way if you help me that puts you one step closer to having another fully operational Zelda 3 rom hack on this site. |
