Mine does, just not many. Plus F13-F24 would be cooler.

Also, that exact model is in the window at a local store.

I use UK QWERTY. It differs slightly from the US keyboard (on which IME is based too, grr) in the placing of some punctuation marks, and currency symbols etc, but mostly it's the same. I have never tried DVORAK. I don't know much about these things really. I might try to learn to use a spanish/german/french keyboar at some point... in the next decade, depends if I move out there or not.

I clicked the button to report that picture as offensive... because of how boring it is. I was offended.

I'd like a keyboard with F13-F24 though. Especially since no program uses them, so I could assign system-wide shortcuts to them.

Not my exact model but I couldn't find the picture for mine. This one is very close.

Scroll Lock History

ScrollLock was invented in the early Unix days.... it stopped the screen from displaying new text. The button was useless in MS-DOS and I don't know how it ended up on IBM PC keyboards anyway. It's one of the most useless keys on the keyboard, or probably is _the_ most useless key.

[Ctrl]+PauseBreak is used for stopping the debugger in Visual Studio.
Scroll lock is used for changing the scroll mode in Microsoft Excel.

Like I said, I really do use all of the keys.

F10 == alt (gain access to menus via keyboard)
F11 is full screen in IE (and probably mozilla)

older keyboards have F13-F24

Hey, I never knew about that Win+Pause. But the only time I really need to go there is to go to Device Manager. I have a registry hack which adds that to the My Computer icon's context menu, and I have a large portion at the top of the screen reserved for status displays, in which the top row of icons shows up. So I can just right-click it at any time and go to Properties or Device Manager.

Lemme think about those F keys though.
F1 - Opens Help in various things. I rarely need this because I read the manuals first. I actually wrote a program a while back to disable it because it was annoying when I accidentally hit it while renaming a while, but it caused some problems.
F2 - Rename files.
F3 - Find Next.
F4 - Alt+F4.
F5 - Refresh in most browsers, and save state in most emulators (my personal preference).
F6 - Select save slot in emulators.
F7 - Load state in emulators.
F8-F12 - Can't think of anything.

My keyboard also has those play/pause/volume control keys, which is sweet. Most don't actually do anything (Windows doesn't recognize them) but if I ever get around to it, I could write my own keyboard driver easily enough to make them useable.

in older text editing programs, if scroll lock is on and you press down, you scroll the window instead of moving the cursor down

I use the menu button when I don't feel like reaching for the mouse and some punk put in an option that's more easily accessible via the context menu than any other keyboard shortcut. I use pause for Start+Pause to open the system menu. Lemme think of which F keys I use.

F1 - I don't use help often enough to reach for this when I do need it. This opens the menu in some games though.
F2 - Rename file
F3 & F4 - Don't think I use these.
F5 - Reload
F6 - Jumps to the address bar in FF & IE (also proceeds to toggle between frames, which is handy when I want to scroll a frame)
F7 - Spell check in Word
F8 - startup options ;D
F9-F11 - can't think of anything
F12 - 'save as' in Word

I don't really know what scroll lock is for either.

I rarely use that menu button, Scroll Lock, Pause, or a few of the F keys.

I don't think there's a single key on the US keyboard that I don't use. Espically when programming.

Have you seen this?

The page has one inaccuracy. Y is sometimes a vowel in English, and sometimes a consonant. It's weird.
Yea, that guy is definately ignorant. People shouldn't be talking out of their asses about things when they have no idea what they're talking about.
