I love one of their songs: the South Park theme

A long long time ago, i purchased a cassette tape (yes, it was that long ago) called "Sailing the Seas of cheese". I liked it fine, even though i was primarily into heavy metal at that time. For whatever reason i never bought anymore Primus albums, even though i do like the one i have. Why they would have their own category though is kinda odd to me, they are'nt THAT different. I can think of at least a dozen other bands that are more "eccentric" than Primus. I'm into avant-garde music.

Cringe? Who cringes? I will kill the cringers.

It's not just on P2P programs; Primus is an official selection in ID3v1. According to Wikipedia, Primus is the only band that has its own genre tag there.

Anyway. Primus rocks. My favorite album is Tales From the Punchbowl, followed closely by Seas of Cheese and Pork Soda.

Edit: And Frizzle Fry.

I don't have Antipop, Miscellaneous Debris, Suck on This, or Rhinoplasty, and I've only heard a couple songs from all of those..

Most people cringe when I mention this band, but I love their sense of humor and the amazing skill of Les Claypool and Tim Alexander. My favorite songs from them right now are DMV, Anti-Pop, Sgt. Baker, and Tommy The Cat. I'd call their music funk/alt. metal, though on several P2P programs they are considered their own genre.
