Apparently there's an overuse of the word 'Damn' xD

Still... after reading descriptions of a few cutscenes in the game, it just makes the decision even more baffling.

Oh well. Doesn't change the fact that the game apparently bites.

To obtain a rating for a game, a publisher sends the ESRB videotaped footage of the game's most graphic and extreme content. The publisher also fills out a questionnaire describing the game's content.

The ESRB states on its website that three trained raters, working independently, then watch the footage and recommend a rating. If all raters agree on the rating, content descriptors are added and the ESRB notifies the publisher of its decision.

When the game is ready for release, the publisher sends copies of the final version of the game to the ESRB. The game packaging is reviewed, and the ESRB says that its in-house personnel may play the game to ensure that all the information provided during the rating process was complete and accurate. Penalties may apply to the publisher if it is eventually found that the game's content is more extreme than the publisher stated in its application.

The identities of the ESRB raters are kept confidential. Raters cannot have any ties to the computer or video game industry.

The inconsistancy shouldn't be surprising now.

I read that, too, actually

God bless The Associated Press.

Hmm... If I remember, I read one article that said that SSBM would have been rated E10+ if it came out after Donkey Kong Jungle Beat, which was the first game to be rated E10+.

Step one: Take a Sonic the Hedgehog 2 ROM (preferably the hack Sonic 2 Delta).

Step two: Change Sonic's pallete to a grayish-black colorset.

Step three: Use Sonik Sprite to change Sonic's quills to Shadow's quill style and change the quill edges to be red like Shadow's.

Step 3.5 (optional): Change Tails into a gun. =P

Step 4: Darken the stage palletes a bit, and enjoy.

All in all, wouldn't you prefer Shadow The Hedgehog and An Optional Gun in Sonic the Hedgehog 2, against this POS game?

(Now off to play SADX PC... )

I can compare this to another way old classics die:

Buzzed M***** F***** Bunny, M***** F*******!!!

Exaggeration, but still. Sonic games have found their way into the dump with the rest of the nice classics gone crappy. I miss the old games. That's why I have ROMS of them.

SEGA is going to die a morbid and sickening death. It once was Awesome, but..... they. fail. it. big time.

In fact, the only good thing 'bout Sonic 3D Blast was its Saturn soundtrack...

Actually, it says E with a 10+ on it.

I guess that's rather close to PG or something ;

I'm alright with this game.. but I wish someone would smack Sega with several cameras. Just because you're speeding along in most levels doesn't mean they can't put in an adventuresome camera.. I mean, there're keys to grab, and people to kill that're running around.

They should revive the pixelated, 2d sprite sonic like the good old days. I think a new 2d version of Shadow the Hedgehog would be interesting.

I stopped buying Sonic games at Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine.

Yep, that and Sonic 3D Blast.

As for the whole gun concept. Yeah, what next? Mario with a knife in a new game titled "Mario: Da Hood" ?

Heh. Oh well, I'll still say that I thought Sonic 3D Blast was actually good.

Still nothing compared to CD and the Hedgehog series, but nothing horrible in my opinion

I don't think a 3d sonic game is all that great. It tends to be confusing and well-suited for kids with extreme ADD.

So, it sucks. It's getting bad reviews all over the place. I'm SO getting this game! Sonic Heroes got crappy reviews and I loved it, so I'm sure I'll love this <3

...or do you just hate Tron? XD

I thought he basically was that - except, evil or something?

So, exactly *how* bad is this game besides the concept of giving a porcupine an AR-15 and bad controls?

...Of course, they could always just present a scenario that doesn't exactly push that PG rating. :\

Heck, KH2 has a Tron world. TRON. So the game's nuts already.

Colin you bastard, Colin... I WAS LOOKING FORWARD TO KH2 SO MUCH! Why, why did you have to do that just now?
