I want a glowing red dog. That would be awesome. |

I wouldn't be surprised if we saw genetically engineered pets in the future. Or humans... Meh, the glow in the dark animals have been done before... on mice. |

I want a green or purple-glowing Cat. And Iīd name it Ailure/Ailura. If it was purple, I mean.
I donīt think that these pigs will live a long life. |

How would having a hamster that glows when a blue light is shone on it in the dark be more useful? |

I am anxiously awaiting to see if they can pull off the whole 'glow in the dark' thing with a more useful animal...like the ferret or hamster. |

Originally posted by Apofisu I do not like them, Sam I Am. I do not like gree-wait a minute, what the hell? That glow reminds me of a Scooby Doo ghost. Come to think of it, such a thing would be plausable. Some Yakuza using glowing green pigs in their plan to scare people away from their secret counterfeiting operation. |

I guess that a part of the DNA from the jellyfish will be neutralized and thatīll result in non-glowing piglets.
Thatīs just a theory. |
Alastor Posts: 1976/8204 |
My bet is that when they do breed with normal pigs, the resulting piglets will not glow. |
Trapster Posts: 1430/3604 |
What the bloody hell? Are they radioactive?
"To create them, DNA from jellyfish was added to about 265 pig embryos which were implanted in eight different pigs." Oh. Why am I not surpised? |
