Forget the battery, my Laptop's hard drive just went up and died on me. The battery performed well in its term, never failing me, though.
The moral? Toshiba: Good batteries. Toshiba: My year's worth of data is gone. Toshiba: Small pros, major CON. |

I had an old 486 laptop, monochrome. The damn thing didn't even hold 20 seconds of a charge at full power. |

*it's 82%* I swear I just turned it on... and it was just plugged in before I did turn it off with full battery. 
Meh, I don't think it's a bad battery... more along the lines of a power consuming computer. |

I have a laptop with a batter that doesn't even last one power button press...
this is why I'm paranoid about my iPod and adamant about depleting the battery before attempting another charge. |

my battery isn't even chagring anymore, i hate them. i rather wait longer for better laptops. At least i can run it from the mains :p |

I blew up an old laptop just by pulling the battery out while it was on and plugged in. Seriously, soon as I did, something popped and smoked (and of course it crashed violently). Though I suspect it was already messed, since the power switch wasn't doing anything anymore.  |

Meh, that's about how long time the battery lasts on my laptop. Sure it's a PC, but it's a brand new one too. 
Meh, how much are brand new batteries for your notebook? |

I don't actually need help here, I just find this amusing.
I reset the Power Management Unit on my iBook. Before, my iBook would mysteriously turn off at around 40 something percent. Now it reads the percentages correctly and it just loses a percent of charge every minute and a half. My battery is fucked! 
Aren't laptop batteries fun? meh, I guess I'll go sell my soul to Apple later for another one. |
