This had the funniest description on that page.

And I guess I`m going to jail for being annoying in the other thread.

Yeah, I bet it is, in your RACIST FANTASIES, where HITLER PRESIDES, and all the black people are in CONCENTRATION CAMPS, and you KILL THEM FOR SPORT.

Yeah, I know all about you.

I was thinking that as I wrote that post, actually. It's always the white one that kills the black one...

No, it's the black spy. And before the cops can react, the white spy lights the fuse with a flaming arrow from a nearby window.

Hahah noice.

But yes, if it's hidden in plain sight... then it can be seized and you'll be charged. Like if they come to your house and there's a bomb in the middle of your floor. You're screwed... but if they had to open drawers and such to find it, you're safe. Sorry for not being clear enough.

Either way, if the cops know you have a bomb, you're as good as busted unless you get rid of it. They'd be watching, and as soon as they see you with it in public, you're in trouble. (And even if you did get rid of it, they'd still be keeping an eye on you.)

This is funny, because whenever people talk without embellishment about "a bomb," I imagine one of those cartoon bombs, like a big ball with a fuse coming out of it and maybe a skull and crossbones. Then I imagine someone trying to sneak one of those around in public, but getting caught because the cops had an eye on him.

That doesn't make sense. Wouldn't it be the same as if they'd simply found it or overheard you talking about it? They were searching, with a warrant, and found something illegal. Unless they obviously had to do something to find it that they wouldn't have to to find drugs, like if they found something on your computer, it seems to be there wouldn't be anything wrong. I've actually heard of similar (though old) cases where a phone operator was spying on people and heard them say illegal things. Their defense was that they happened to hear the conversation while they were testing the lines. It's the same scenario.

They can't do that. If they have a warrent to search my house for drugs... and they find a bomb in my closet, but no drugs.. they can't arrest me for having a bomb. Your defense would be that the cops had no warrent to search for a bomb. It unrelated to what you were charged with.
Actually they can if it was left in the open. I don't remember which Supreme Court case it was but the Supreme Court ruled that if it is in "open view" (i.e. the officer did not bring it into view), then it can be seized and thus, they have evidence to prosecute you for possesion of an illegal explosive or whatever a bomb is classified as.

Here is more clarification: Searches and Seizures w/o Warrants

@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@

There, I've created a horozontal scrollbar in this topic that will affect people on PSPs, and maybe certain low resolutions. This makes me an "E-Annoyance" to PSP users, I presume. I wonder if I'm going to disappear off this Earth within the next few days, at least as far as the government is concerned.

(although in seriousness, this is probably not going to be enforced, except under extreme circumstances, such as child molestation; there may be general demands around extending it to all sections of the web, but they'll likely be made by 40-50 year olds who play games on Pogo all day long; nothing to worry about)

Yoro, the idea is they bring you in on some bogus charge, then say "ok, you didn't do that, but during our investigation we found out you've been annoying people online".

So therefore if you're brought in for stabbing someone, and you're found innocent... they're not going to bring you in and say "Well, you didn't stab Dave... but you annoyed someone via the internet two days ago".

To get you for that they'd have to catch you in the act, or someone would have to file a complaint.
