Most distros have tools to do this that you can run from the CD. Partion Magic is also popular. Neither are guaranteed to work, though, so make backups. (And be VERY careful during installation because most Linux programs don't ask for confirmation before doing something potentially destructive. ) |

I have a 160GB hard drive, and I want to partion about 15GB of it to use for linux WITHOUT losing the data already on there (about 10 GB worth of space). How to?
If you're wondering why I want linux, I just wanted to try it out? I mean, it would be so hardcore if I got Linux and Windows on the same computer! |
