I still have login problems with Firefox when I'm at work, but not at home... Weird. |

Firemaker's layout prevented me from seeing the bottom of this post (X.x) but Firefox 1.0.7 has been handling cookies all right since I first installed it. I'll be evading Firefox 1.5 for a while if THIS is what it's doing. Never had cookie problems, and I like to experiment with killing various privacy-invading ones. |

The version of MSIE here likes munching on the acmlm.org cookies (for example, going there now I'm not logged in), but not the board. |

I'm on another computer with Firefox 1.5 right now... And I've got login problems.
I didn't go to the site either. Edit: Now it works... |

No extensions (I'm not wasting time downloading things that should already be there), no extra crap.
The onlyu thing I changed is |

Have you actually tried going through their bug stuff and seen if anybody else has this problem? Are you running any third party plugins that may affect the functionality of Firefox? |

Don't know why you're surprised.
Cookies are delicious. |

It's all working fine for me. Could it be a bug in the cookie-handling code to do with certain characters in the cookie? |

No problem here using 1.5 except if I try to go from the board to the site then i end up being logged out somehow so i have to log in on the site. Weird. |

I'm on the version before 1.5, and I don't have problems with cookies. But like Stifu I haven't been to the site.
So there's probably a problem there. Just use seperate cookies? |

I'm on Firefox 1.5, no cookie problem here either. I don't visit the site though. Could it possibly just happen to people who logged in from the site and not from here ? |
Xkeeper Posts: 846/5653 |
No, and as I said (I hope) the site keeps me logged in, but not the board, and if I try to log into the board without logging out at the site nothing happens. (it just says I'm logged in but doesn't actually do anything)
Which is stupid given that they use the exact same code. |

Hmm, this has never happened to me. You don't have "keep cookies" set to "until I close firefox" right? |
DarkSlaya Posts: 349/936 |
No problem here either.
But for the site, it eats the cookie (note: changed cookie expiration date to somewhere in 2020). |
Xkeeper Posts: 845/5653 |
I've constantly heard from people using various versions about how FF eats cookies on close, or allows cookies for the site but no the board, etc...
Of course now it's happening to me (1.5) without any sort of reason, and ... well, it's pissing me off. All of these stupid design flaws in this program make me want to shoot the developers in the foot a few times. |
