Yeah, everyone gets 100 and it refills periodically.  I don't see why they don't just make it public at this point.
Also, at 90% of schools, you barely need to be able to work a keyboard to get around content filters.  And local security systems aren't much better. |

Turned out that I have 100 Gmail invitations too. I donīt know what people to send them to and there are other good mail services such as Yahoo, too.
Hotmail works fine for me. |

I could on dail up. I've filled 700 megabytes while i was till on dial-up. But then again gmail became my personal file hoster. |

You can easily register a G-Mail account if you already have one set up. And Alastor is right, no one can have enough G-Mail accounts. I mean 2.5GB free storage space and climbing. Just rename the extension of a certain file if it doesnt let you upload it. |

I have so many invites it's ridiculous  It's hard to find people who want a Gmail account to use now. And if people just post links to invites, they get grabbed up by people who just waste them. |

I have a Gmail account too. Got it long ago. Iīll see how many invites I have.

Eh, I prefer my really expensive Yahoo account. It came with the DSL. Google may try to edge it out, but if I'm not even using the 2 Gig I get normally, why would an extra .2 Gig (Paid for by them snooping in my email) be useful to me? |

yeah, I got 100 also...although I thought there was a way to get one yourself now.....cause you can sign up for a google account which I was told awhile back that gets you a gmail account also...actually, ill check..although im probably wrong |

Gmail, meh. Yahoo! does just fine for me, blocks enough spam to keep me happy. What I really find funny is that our school is going on a tyrant-banning spree of email sites. You can't go to Yahoo!, Hotmail, TDS, ect. They think that all the virus's on the school Macs are from student's emails, which is bull. But we're students, what do we know? If the situation becomes so bad that we can't get around any bans (I can for now), then I'll start a Gmail account. Because honestly, the admin's at our school would try to ban Google, but we'd just stick it to 'em in a school board meeting or the like. For now though, I'm okey dokey without Gmail. |
