Oh, that is just fantastic. He had better marry that girl ASAP.

Extremely cool. I think my mom once knitted me a pretty nice Mario but that beats it.

And probably only takes a week to make even if you suck at knitting

I'm gonna kill the guy and steal the scarf.

(in other words: it's cool)

I just got a pattern for the Dr. Who scarf. I had meant to start it over the holidays, but meh.

That is awesome indeed. She says she used duplicate stitching to draw the characters, so she knit a plain black scarf and then added the designs afterward. Duplicate stitching is when you basically knit on top of already-knit work.

I've been getting OMG SHINY syndrome with all the knitting stuff at the fabric store (especially because some of my friends knit and another friend just picked up crochet and made quite a lot of blanket over the past week), but I didn't have any good ideas for a beginning project. (There are knitted items that I covet - like Cloud's ribknit sweater from Advent Children - but they're not beginning projects.) I don't want to make a blanket for myself because I know that one of the cats would poke a hole in it at some point, but a scarf would be fine because I could use it and I'd put it in the cat-proof closet when I wasn't wearing it. And I could even make one to match my 1up hat.

Or they could have made it where it showed the Mario bros. killing the enemies.

It could've at least used the collapsed dry bones and poofs for the others.

Yeah, but they don't have death sprites.

This is so awesome. Wow.

I tried knitting once when my mom did it, but its not easy at all...and that was just little shapes and everything so even though having one of them scarfs would be kick ass, ill wait til I get a girlfriend, and maybe she will know how to knit

My girlfriend knits. I'm going to have to hold her hostage until she makes me a similar scarf. I want this.

After seeing this scarf I might be. I don't know if she was able to knit the characters into the scarf or added them later on, but IT'S A SMB3 SCARF. Oh, to be her boyfriend.
