And now that you've provided a reason that makes more sense to me...
By the way, Clockwork JB, that isn't how things work around here - if it was, I'd have voted to ban you, considering that you're getting on my nerves already in your time here... Edit: Reopened momentarily so I can clarify what I meant in the first line. The initial reason seemed kinda like you either overreacting or misreading dates to me, that's all. |

By last year, I meant 2005. And I didn't only close it b/c it was a bit old, but b/c its a dead thread to begin with. But if you wanna keep it open...I mean..what do I know..... |

Anya, uh... The bump was from January 4th of *this year*, and that was still only halfway down the page. =/ The only "last year" to this thread was when it was originally posted, but that was still right at the end of December (12-30-05 may as well be -06 =/)
Might I remind you that this board hasn't even been up for a year? |

Way to bring up a topic from last year.
And you cannot compare the two, no way no how. |

Comparing Paper Mario to any FF game, is like comparing Smash Bros to final fight; their just not in the same league. I suggest you sit down and play some more than half-decent games. |

I don't know about FFX2 (I don't really like the FF series and I don't have a PS2) but I think Paper Mario and Paper Mario: The thousand year door really rock, Especially part 2, it really shows how much the GC can do with a bunch of sprites and a 3-D World in which you can do unendless things (Just count ALL the secrets in PM2) |

Imajin or xxypher for prez!
I've never played FFX or FFX-2. I heard FFX was good, but FFX-2 sucked. But then, I can't judge, because the only Final Fantasy games I've ever played are 3/6, and 7 As for Paper Mario - the N64 one rocked. But #2 blew me away. It's so in-depth, detailed, and funny. I have already replayed it twice - definitely a great game for anyone |

Think Charlie's Angels meets FFX. |

Lots of skirts. That's all you need to know. |

Paper Mario 2 is probably one of the best RPGs I've ever played, though alot of it's best concepts probably wouldn't transfer well to a serious RPG like I assume FFX-2 is... I haven't played FFX-2.... |

Nothing can really be compared to FFX-2 besides, well, FFX. And the reason I say this isn't because play quality, but the unique dressphere idea. Of course, I could probably be blundering in the dark with that one, since I don't think, not know, whether it has been used in another RPG. Sure seems simple enough, despite it's unique... ity...
Paper Mario, now that I don't know about. I haven't played either one, so I can't exactly comment on quality. However, I remember in a Nintendo Power way back when, they called it the direct sequel to Mario RPG. So, I dunno. Sounds like it would be good. |

Paper Mario and FFX-2 in the same ballpark? uh...no
Both are alright but they aren't in the same class--one is for a general audience and the other is for well...guys like those in Densha Otoko... I haven't played any paper marios but they seem interesting...but no way are they in the same class as FFX-2 |
