Ingame car damage should do real damage to your car

You know, they could extend that concept to allow you to play the game inside the car that you're controlling in the game. It could go on forever, or until it, uhm, crashes. Yeah.

Seriously, this is stupid.

I can't really remember. I think we had to have had some sort of adapter so we could plug them into the cigarette lighter outlet thing... The TV could run on batteries (8 or so C's or D's), but I know the VCP couldn't...

Well maybe if the car actually bounces around with the game... but I somehow doubt that.

How did you power it?

Ummm... I have game systems in my house. If I want to play them, I stay where I am at and play them.

If they were in my car, then they would be packed up to bring with me either to my friends' house.

Now, if I got the urge to play in my car, I would pull out a handheld system and not pay a lot of money for the URGE. If I wanted to play a racing game with a steering wheel, I'll buy one myself.

Besides, how many idiots will travel somewhere, park their car in the parking lot, and play Project Gotham Racing 3 when they could go out, buy the 360 and game, go home and then play it, saving their car battery life?

Seems like a bad idea to me...

"Also, DVD players in cars' back seats = good. In the FRONT seats, however... (yes, I've seen this once. )"

Heh, I've seen four flatscreen TVs in the front of a truck with rap music shaking the entire parking lot.

By embedding the game in the car, the Xbox "delivers an immersive driving experience not available in any living room," the companies said.

What? I can't pull out my gaming chair, plug in a steering wheel, and play a game on a bigger screen and not feel like I am in a car?

I second that remark. Their little gameboys and ps2s in their mother's van. The kids would have another reason to fight eachother. I'm gonna laugh if someone crashes in one of those things.

This could be good...or very, very bad. Similar to having a TV in a car it could be good only in the sense that a child will be entertained, however, that is not the case as using the driver steering wheel? Yea..I do not care for the library of games that are offered for the system, or the original X-Box, so this would not be a selling point, at all, for me..and like Colin said, this just has lawsuit writen all over it. People who are already against GTA? If they hear you can play a game like that in a ACTUAL car (even if it is just that, PLAYING), they will go bananas ._.;; Just..does not seem like a very practacle feature, or a reason to buy the car on my end..

Time to brace for such fun excuses as "I thought I was playing GTA", "the car must have switched out of game mode when I wasn't looking", and "that didn't happen in the game".

...Although if you read close it does say the actual game is shown on a flip-down screen, not like on the windshield or something. As awesome as that would be.

Also, DVD players in cars' back seats = good. In the FRONT seats, however... (yes, I've seen this once. )

Awesome. Just like how my dad insists on having a truck that can carry an elephant. Yeah, he sure hauls those elephants around often.

No, no... They're stupid for doing it. Really. Life is not Pimp My Ride. Hell, putting a DVD player and a TV in a car was a bad idea too. When your car's sound system beats your own, you know you have problems. Or you like driving way too much.

Unless you have kids, in which case a TV/DVD player (in the back seat with headphones, of course) is the best thing ever.

It shuts them up and makes that boring ride so much better for them.

(haha at your false quote there)

If you're a GTA boy, it's not entirely false...

Article says you can't do that...but I guess someone could hack their way through the controls. After all, everything in most cars are powered...

NISSAN isn't stupid for doing this, they are getting their name out...which they need because they trail Honda and Toyoto in the street racing scene...I think...

If this makes market, I predict a fatal accident and a class action lawsuit within 8 months of the Urge coming out. It's inevitable.

Try driving to work and playing Project Gotham Racing 3 at the same time. Your friends can even bet on which car you'll wreck first.

This is going to be fun. Why?

"THIS CHILD WAS PUSHED TO RACE ON REAL STREETS BY THIS BUILT-IN VIDEOGAME SYSTEM IN THE CAR."

And just what if you accidently take it out of park while playing? Yeah I can see disaster on the horizon for the Nissan Urge already.
