I think you're missing the point. It's not that they don't want you using your image, its that they don't want you using it on an external site (I don't know german, but that's what I gather), even if its your image, its still on their servers, so its their bandwidth you're using. You need host it with site that hosts images specifically for hotlinking, such as ImageShack |

No, I just don't feel like doing that. It's stupid that funpic won't let me use my banner from my site in my sig here. It's stupid. I've done something already, I'm not going to do something else because funpic doesn't want me to use my image. |

Actually, I still see that man even though I may have the image cached. Didn't anyone click the link I put? Going there will take you to that man and if you look at the URL it says http://404.funpic.org/linkextern.jpg. It's all stupid. This didn't start happening until last night. I've used this before. This is gay. And I'm not using photobucket or anything because it's pointless when I already have it uploaded somewhere.
As for the name changes, I don't care anymore. |

I dunno about this. It´s not like it´s hard to PM and admin and I´ve never had any problems with that.

No, they work fine in everything BUT IE. Use some other browser and it may work. It's working fine for me now... well not the second one. And yes, even if you go to the banner's link it's screwed up. They aren't preventing hotlinking, it's some other failure. Just try and go to http://stag019board.st.funpic.org/images/title2.jpg and look at the man pop up. Then look at the URL. It's some other error besides funpic preventing hotlinking. |

No, my image works, but it can't find my banner sometimes so it shows that man. The banner is from my site at http://dsmaster.ds.funpic.org/images/title2.jpg. It also happened with someone else's banner. Only because he has the same server I do. It's funpic's fault, not mine. At least it's working again.
And as for the idea, it could be useful, but only if you want to. I'm guessing we aren't going to get this because Xk said no.  |

Personally, it's never a hassle to change someone's name, even during fads.
I believe it's just one of those things that would lead to more bad than good. =\ And on a side note, your sig images aren't showing, because funpic won't let you hotlink.  Use Image Shack or Photo Bucket. |

It would be nice for Admins too. It would prevent then from having to change peoples names all the time. And it would give more freedom to the users. I think it would be quite a nice idea. I have a lot of ideas for the board... or not. I think maybe everything has been done... |

Not like it's hard to simply PM an admin...
But I guess if they're that far along with posts, it wouldn't be horrible. They'd obviously be pretty well known. |

Maybe you could allow name changes for normal users after 2500 post or something like that just like when a normal user reaches a certain ammount of post they can edit their custom title. And make a rule that if they abuse it that they get a ban or have the feature disabled. Just an idea. Maybe have it at 5000 post... I don't know. But it would be nice even if it takes forever to earn that right. |
