Just got the game a few weeks ago... and... I JUST HATE THE VOICE! I'm sorry but that is just WRONG! (You can tell I like SMB2 alot more than most of you ) (For other fans) Thats like YOSHI talking in a game, WRONG! and when you meet birdo the first time she sounds... Like "This is as far as you go!" in a HAPPY voice? Odd... <--- (my thoughts about this)

In the English version, he just goes Ahhh and Ohhhh.
Just sounds of expression

Kirby sounds like he would have a nice voice if he did talk though.

He did indeed talk, atleast in the japanese version. Well, maybe not talk, but he said several words of favorite things like Watermelon, and I think he did an entire preview for a next episode!

Well, that's a TV show. Nobody would watch it if the star never talked.

Ever watch the Mario T.V. show?
It was based off of Super Mario World and they lived in the stone age for some reason.
Anyways, Mario seamed to talk pretty fluently in there, turns out he loves pasta.

True. Even when you use psychopath on the Mario Clone, he's thinking, "......"

I guess the only reasons Mario & Luigi don't talk much is because they have that whole mysteriousness going on.
Look at SMRPG, everyone has text except Mario. His conversation is cherades.

Little off topic: Yoshi has a voice in Mario Party 7!

EDIT: let's not forget Bowser's new voice in Mario Sunshine!

Well, "just what I needed!" isn't so bad, but Birdo's voice, judging by what it was in SMAS, isn't all that good, but still better.

When you approach her, she says something like "I'm going to finish you off!" or "This is as far as you go." in a weird lady's voice.

I think the new form of "speech" Birdo has fits her better. The point about her proboscis not really being able to produce coherent speech has already been made.

Also, I don't remember her voice in SMA (I only played that game for one day when I borrowed it from my cousin when we were home on vacation), but if it was anything like her voice from Mario Tennis 64, then I can certainly say with no hesitation that her voice should never go back to what it was. Her voice was incredibly annoying in that game; it didn't even sound like a natural voice.
This is a long thread. Click here to view it.
