i realy would prefer to use the mouse and the keyboard. its just allways suited me. and its done me well in World of Warcraft. though sometimes i would realy like to use just the keyboard on World of Warcraft. |

depends on the type of game. FPS is both keyboard and mouse, RTS is also keyboard and mouse. For the emulators, I prefer the gamepads because it prevents me from using save states too much. Furthermore, it is one step closer to having the actual machine because you hand is in the orientation meant to use the console/handheld... |

Keyboard + Mouse... I'm a control freak with games.
On Counter-Strike I need to buy weapons, scroll through inventory using the numpad, jump around, and aim with the mouse. Starcraft, I use hotkeys to build fast and rush the hell out of everyone. |

I guess I should mention, on the Keyboard/Mouse thing... my hatred of that only goes so far as games that require both to be pretty constantly used - such as, I would guess, most FPS games. Games that just have a few hotkeys and mostly use the mouse don't annoy me so much. |

Most games that I play require either a gamepad or a mouse. I'm not a big fan of using the keyboard anymore... it's OK if they're hotkeys (like RO) but if a majority of commands require the keyboard... ugh. |

It all depends on the game, but since I play almost exclusively now, RTS...I suppose we can agree that I only use the mouse.

I use the keyboard, and/or the mouse, depending on the type of game. I don't have a gamepad, but I do have a steering wheel, which I use for racing games. |

Depends. For puzzle games (and one or two others), I use Keyboard, since it's the most precise of the options I have (my gamepad's... not the greatest for that). Platformers (mostly SMW and related) I use the gamepad because it's more comfortable. RPGs, whichever I've got configged at the time.
I absolutely HATE Keyboard and Mouse, so the only FPS I play on the computer is Doom. =/ |
